Brigitte wasn't sure what happened. She had just gotten herself ready for another training session with Reinhardt when she suddenly felt herself be grabbed and all of sudden everything went dark before suddenly she found herself in a completely different place.

And now she was fighting for her life.

Brigitte found herself being attacked by group of what looked like strange bipedal turtles wielding spears. She hadn't done anything to incite their wrath, but they were out for blood, her blood. What were those things anyway?! She had never seen anything like those before, they looked like they were monsters from a movie and it made her wonder if she was dreaming all of this.

Swinging her flail, the chain extended and the head struck one of the odd creatures right in the face and knocked it out. Another, enraged by that display, jumped at her with the intent of driving its spear through her skull. Brigitte raised her shield and blocked the strike, then smacking it aside with the shield itself just in time to sidestep and avoid another creature that jumped at her right afterwards.

How many of them were there? Brigitte could see at least six and, as she heard the sounds of steps coming from behind her, she found herself surrounded by more of them. Those things might have looked like turtles and have those shells on their backs but they sure weren't slow. Luckily, with all of her equipment on hand, she could fight them off herself, but if they were gonna keep coming like that, she would find herself in some real trouble soon.

But she sure wasn't going to be taken down without making them work for it.

It was hard getting used to the idea of being in another world. Thomas had been in Pandora for almost two months now and within the two months of being here, he knew that going back home will be near impossible. To accept his fate in staying here meant he would have to openly venture out and see what Pandora holds for him. So far, it's nothing but more questions than answers.

Cascade Bay seem to be one of the top places to visit on his list. Word goes that the place is nothing but villages and water - something a safe haven sounds like when Vince and the rest of the gang decided what it would be like. And so, taking a journey to Cascade Bay was nothing but an easy thing for him. Surviving is a skill he did learn back in his world.

After all, coming from a post-Apocalyptic world meant little to nothing here. When he finally made it to the place, his encounter with someone else shows that Cascade Bay isn't too bad - just some grumpy old people who need to not pick on the younger ones such as himself. Staying in the village area wasn't too bad either and maybe it would be best for him to be here instead of living in a town that was full of people.

Thomas decided that it was time to leave Cascade Bay and possibly explore the other areas of Pandora. As he left with his backpack and his handgun holstered, Thomas made his way out to leave the village. However, his ears picked up on what sounds like a fight that may or may not be going so well. It was a sound he was familiar with but something he tries to avoid at all costs.

What if someone is innocent and getting hurt? Only one way to find out: help them. Booted feet quickly picked up the pace into a light jog and he can gradually hear the muffles of groans and moans from... odd turtle-like creatures. When Thomas got a clear view of them, he took a moment just to stare. They were odd and certainly not something from his world. Then again, he's seen worse in the past two months of being here.

Swiping those thoughts aside, Thomas was quick to withdraw his handgun from its holster and instantly fell into a shooting stance. He aimed at one of the turtle-like creatures but his bullets didn't phase them. Of course, they're turtles and having a shell that can ricochet a bullet off their backs. Since the sound of bullets became present, the creatures froze just for a brief moment. In that moment, they turned to spot Thomas at which a few of them advanced towards him.

Thomas wasn't stupid as he caught on that a handgun of his type (standard) can't hurt him at their back. Their weakness must be elsewhere and he can guess it for the most part. Standing nearly still, doe brown eyes cautiously observed as two of them headed his way - one of which threw a spear at him. Thomas easily ducked, hearing the tip of the spear hit and pierce the wall behind him.

Now was his chance: aiming his gun again, the trigger was pulled. A bullet hit the creature in the head and watched the critter fall. Did he do it? Did he kill it? Thomas would hope so as nearly anything and everything has a weakness.

He did it again to the next one coming to him and watched it fall back. Once again his eyes darted to the woman in need, his gun aimed at the creature closest to her. "Hey!" He shouted in hope that the turtle-like beast would turn his attention towards him.

Before things could get worse, Brigitte was surprised by the sound of a gunshot. Just like the creatures that were attacking her, she too glanced behind herself to find a young man holding a handgun. He must have heard the fight and wanted to help, but in the process he drew the creatures' attention to him.

This earned him a spear shot at him, but he proved to be more than just a random bystander. He near effortlessly ducked out of the way and shot the two creatures that were advancing towards them right in the head, their dead bodies collapsing on the floor and left there to bleed out. If those things even bled all that much anyway.

Brigitte didn't have much time to focus on their biology as she still had to deal with the remaining ones. The man yelled out in order to distract them, which allowed Brigitte enough time to swing her flail and hit one in the head again, knocking it out and leaving her flank clear and covered by the heroic person who came to her aid.

The weird creatures seemed to think he was the most dangerous one due to his weapon and began throwing their spears at him like javelins. Brigitte quickly stepped between the two of them and put her shield in front of her. It seemed to expand itself, a blue energy barrier forming between the mechanical parts that spread themselves out in a manner that formed what looked like a semi-transparent blue wall in front of her that blocked the spears.

With her other hand, she aimed her flail at one of the turtle creatures and shot the head of it like a bullet, the chain extending very far away like a whip and colliding with its face and taking it out. Seeing as most of them had recklessly thrown their weapons at her to no avail, they were left with no other choice but to leave before more of them got hurt or killed.

Brigitte then retracted her shield, the spears harmlessly dropping to the ground as she stood upright and looked back at the person who came to help her. She wanted to thank him as soon as possible, but it was better to leave first before more of those could show up.

"More of them might come out, we need to get moving." Her eyes darted towards the town that was not very far away from where she was standing before then focusing on the man again. "Is that town safe?" She inquired, her voice was firm, evidently still on edge since she wasn't sure if she could let her guard down just yet.

Now that the attention of the creatures momentarily noticed him, Thomas knew the outcome may not end too well. It was his bravery and the need to protect others that got the best of him. Realizing that the turtle-like creatures started to advance his way, his eyes slightly widened at noticing the rise of their spears.

Thomas' mind raced at the idea on what to do next: run or make cover somewhere. Unfortunately, there is no way to make cover in the open besides the wall behind him. However, just as he tried to figure out a way from getting killed, the woman stepped in. And it she wielded a large shield that seem to have come out of nowhere.

In the back of his mind, Thomas didn't know exactly how that can be possible - pure energy that takes shape of a shield and even did the job of protecting them against the many spears heading their way. By reaction, Thomas' arm lift to cover his eyes but only heard the clash of the spears against the shield. The energetic shield did its job and right away he slid his arm back to his side. He was fascinated, already knowing she's from a world that is far more advanced in time. Whereas for Thomas, coming from a post-Apocalyptic world doesn't have a whole lot of advantages in technology other than finding a cure of the flare virus.

"More of them might come out, we need to get moving."

Still in awe, Thomas had to rid his mind of many questions about her and focus on the now. Eyebrows furrowed downward in concern but also gave a single nod to her response. "Understood."

    "Is that town safe?"

Doe brown eyes followed hers as she seem to be observing the town close by. His head turned then at the town then slowly back at her. "Yeah, it's safe. I can guide you there in case those things come back." He noted, mentioning about those creatures.

That look of awe was very transparent and Brigitte couldn't help but smile with pride at seeing someone look at her like that. She wasn't a hero because she looked for admiration, but it was nice to see that other people were impressed by what she could do, it gave her some feedback that allowed to see that she really was good at it.

Thankfully the town wasn't run over by those things and was actually safe. Brigitte was going to need some time to process what was going since she was pretty much dropped right in the middle of chaos without a parachute to slow down her fall.

"If you don't mind." She replied to his offer, her smile turning from proud to grateful as she began loosening up a little. "Thank you for the help, by the way, that could've gotten ugly. My name is Brigitte. You?" She lightly tilted her head towards the path to the town, a subtle gesture to tell him to lead the way forward as they spoke.

She was going to make sure their back would be protected, just in case one of those creatures tried something funny like throw a spear at them while they weren't looking. She was the one wearing armor and carrying a shield, so it was only natural that she would be the one to stay behind while the path ahead of them seemed to be safer.

"If you don't mind. Thank you for the help, by the way, that could've gotten ugly. My name is Brigitte. You?"

Even if it wasn't safe to really trust anyone, Thomas needed allies and friends more than ever. Since he lost his chance to save one of his friends during a train ambush, he was sure that things back in his world didn't end well without him. But with Thomas, the tendency of trouble finding him always been just around the corner. He had to make sure that won't happen here, even if it means to try and befriend anyone he comes across.

A single nod was given at her thanks which only made Thomas feel better that he did something to help her out. Granted, she has the better equipment to go against those beasts previously but going against them alone is never a good thing to do. Though, how Thomas didn't exactly introduce himself already was beyond him.

"I'm just glad I got here in time." He added to keep her reassured that the outcome was in their favor. "Thomas." He finally said with a half made smile, revealing the only name he can remember. If he could only recall what his life was life before the Maze, things may have been easier for him. But alas, he only went by 'Thomas'. "It's nice to meet you, Brigitte."

"Right. Follow me then." He hinted, knowing that he was probably falling them behind and those creatures may very well be on their way with more of them. Thomas began his advancement in steps towards the town, his gun still in his hand as a precaution. So many questions started to fill in his thoughts, gaining a curious notion about her. "Do you even know what those are?" He had to ask as she seem to have been handling them well with them outnumbering her.

Doe brown eyes would catch glimpse of her here and there, making sure she's following him. He made his walk fast and not so much a normal pace for the sheer fact that those monsters may be gaining up on them. His body felt alert, keeping his guard up just in case.

"Nice to meet you too, Thomas."

Brigitte followed right behind him, keeping up with his fast pace and alternating between looking ahead and behind her for any glimpse of one those weird things. She noticed Thomas was alert too, as it was to be expected, seeing as he demonstrated to have good survival instincts in the brief time where she got to see him in action. Luckily, it didn't look like any more of those was coming towards them, but she wouldn't let her guard down regardless.

"No idea. I've never seen anything like them before. Luckily, good old 'mace to the face' works on both humans and monsters." She answered, her tone becoming more casual and lighthearted at the last sentence, even allowing herself to chuckle a little.

It did strike her as a little odd that Thomas didn't seem to know what they were either. Brigitte had assumed so far that he lived in the surrounding area, most likely the town they were heading towards, but that didn't seem to be the case. That brought her to another very important topic: where was she? How did she end up there? Did something similar happen to Thomas too? There were a lot of questions to be asked and she figured now was as good of a time as any to get some answers.

"By the way, where are we? This doesn't look like any place I've been to, and I've traveled a lot over the past few years." And she was pretty sure if there was any place in the world with killer turtle monsters, she would have heard about it Reinhardt would already have brought her there, so clearly there was something weird going on here.

"Nice to meet you too, Thomas."

Thomas easily acknowledged her greeting and follow-up with a nod and accompanied with a half-smile. As much as Thomas want to get to stop and start a conversation, now is not the time nor the place to do so. Instead, his little non-verbal gestures should express his reply in regards to their short introduction. As such, the instinct in him to keep going forward continues.

"No idea. I've never seen anything like them before. Luckily, good old 'mace to the face' works on both humans and monsters."

Just as he thought: she didn't know what those are either. Is she new? Quite possibly but he wouldn't just assume right away. To be fair, seeing those turtle-like creatures is just as much of a surprise to him as it is for her. So, he didn't know anything about them other than an attempt to find a weak point on their bodies.

The tone in her voice already gave Thomas the idea that she feels slightly comfortable around him. And of course, he wanted that - even for strangers to be near him. If there's one thing about him, it's that he is a natural-born leader and most people trust him. "About that..." He trailed off, quite curious about her weapons since he first saw the shield.

"I never seen anything like it before. You must be from somewhere that has a far advanced technology." While Thomas most likely stated the obvious, in his world, modernized weapons are still a thing. No phones, no tablets, no energy wielding shield. Coming from a post-Apocalyptic world sure as hell has a lot of disadvantages.

"By the way, where are we? This doesn't look like any place I've been to, and I've traveled a lot over the past few years."

"A place called Pandora. I've only been here for a month and you can call me crazy but this place is basically a different world." As much as he wanted to not state the blunt of the truth, he had to. It was just as much of a shock for him when he first came here. "A lot of it here is a mix of people, lands, climate, and technology." Granted, some of the technology he's seen didn't really look as advanced as the one Brigitte displayed. Luckily, however, he wasn't the only one with the same questions she's been asking.

Brown eyes glanced behind him for a moment, waiting to see and hear her reaction.

"Far advanced technology"? Where did he come from? Sure, the stuff she made was fairly unique, but that was because they were more traditional than the typical equipment people went to battle in. For most other people, she would be seen as old-fashioned rather than modern, not that she minded, she recognized that walking around in bulky armor and going into the front lines carrying nothing but a mace and a shield wasn't smart in this day and age, but it was what she chose to do. Plus, it worked well for Reinhardt for decades and it was only old age that was making the old man slow down.

"My equipment? I made it myself." She stated proudly with a smile that was just as proud as it was jovial. "Well, not all of it, but the majority of it came from me."

Her smile soon faltered, however, once Thomas began talking about the place they were in. Pandora? A different world? A mix of a lot of different things? This all sounded like some sort of fantasy story and, at first, she thought he was just messing with him, but he spoke with such a matter-of-fact tone that it made her question whether that could be it.

"You serious? Is that seriously what's going on here?"
She asked, still managing to keep herself coolheaded in spite of the utterly baffled expression she was wearing now.

"My equipment? I made it myself. Well, not all of it, but the majority of it came from me."

The tone in her voice gave Thomas a clear understanding of her pride in her weaponry. It's a nice accomplishment - something everyone should be proud of. While he didn't make his own, he at least know how to use them. If there's one thing about this place, it's the fact that almost everyone he meets has some kind of unique skill and part of it coming from technology. In his world, "modern" there only meant the typical firearms, cars, houses, and electricity. But all of that became almost obsolete after the sun flare struck Earth, giving the true definition of a post-Apocalyptic world.

Something such as Brigitte's energy wielding shield is physically impossible at the time of technology made in his world. Hell, an energy wielding shield is something he would read straight out of a comic book. Seeing it come to life? It was almost hard to grasp that concept but considering Pandora has many surprises, this is one of them.

"Is it easy to make? They look incredible." Curious, Thomas had to ask. Even when he first caught glimpse of her weapons, it all look complicated. A mace? That kind of weapon does not exist in his world but it did at one point centuries ago. Still, it's an interesting thought to be curious about - about the kind of weapons used in her world. Thomas knew he shouldn't get this curious but meeting someone highly advanced than him, it's bound to happen to let his mind venture.

"You serious? Is that seriously what's going on here?"

Thomas knew that she was taken aback at his words. Despite how he tried his best not to rush any emotions into a mixed bowl, the words did spill out like a sour candy. Eyebrows rose high as he turned his head over his right shoulder. His pace of a fast walk decreased into a slower one, almost tempted to stop to look at her. "I know that sounds crazy and believe me, I thought I was going insane but..." He tried off, brown eyes glancing to her and then ahead of him. "I'm afraid so. A completely different world with a mesh of other people from other worlds."

Thomas had to remind himself constantly that this is scientifically impossible. Yet here he is, walking with a living and breathing advanced woman from another world.

It really didn't sound like Thomas was lying but it was still hard to believe that Brigitte had been taken to a whole different world. It explained the weird monsters, but... why her? Why him? It didn't make any sense. The more she thought about it, the more she could feel her head hurting from the effort, but it impossible for her to think about anything else at the moment.

"That's... not just crazy. It's insane." She spoke, not aiming to accuse Thomas of having gone mad, but merely to express her own thoughts on the matter. "If what you're saying is true then... Why? What's the reason behind all of this?"

She had a feeling he didn't have an answer either, but it couldn't hurt to make sure. One way or another, she would have to take some time to properly digest the information she had already gotten. If she was a whole world away from home then obviously her goal would be to get back but... how was she even supposed to do that?

"I'm assuming there's no easy way out of here either?"
She frowned, not wanting to be such a defeatist right out of the bat but also already feeling like this whole thing was just way out of her league.

"That's... not just crazy. It's insane. If what you're saying is true then... Why? What's the reason behind all of this?"

Brigitte seem to have taken it hard, more so than he did when he first got here. Those were the same questions that Thomas asked himself many times that day. Still, those questions will never get an answer even though that's one of his main goals: find out why he was brought here. Even Thomas took a moment to pause in his words, replaying them in his head.

"Your guess is as good as mine." He said, finally. "I've been trying to find that out since I got here. Some say it's just a random occurrence and others say by luck. It's a mixed bag, if you ask me." These words were probably not what Brigitte would like to hear but it was the truth (or the response he got from asking others before).

"I'm assuming there's no easy way out of here either?"

There. That question hit him harder than any other. When he discovered the awful truth, it really put a lot of emotions through his body. It got to the point where he became desperate enough to at least try - try to find a way out of this insane world. The urge to want to go back and save Minho, stop WCKD from killing more innocent children just for what? An impossible cure against a deadly virus? Yes, he's that desperate to go back and end it all.

Thomas' head lowered a little towards the ground while they continue to walk. His bottom lip curled in, allowing his top pair of six teeth gently press along his bottom lip. It was a difficult question to answer and as much as he did not want to shock Brigitte with even more depressing news, he had to be real about it.

Doe brown eyes made a glance over his shoulder to her, indicating that his eyes holds truth in them. "I'm afraid there isn't." He admitted finally with a slight tone of sadness in his voice. "I asked the same question and I got the same answer I just told you. Believe me, I've tried to deny that answer. I even started to search around to find a way out. It's been two months since." His point? Two months of searching and still no answer.

"I'm... sorry, Brigitte. I hate to be the one to bring you all the bad news." He said with sincerity in his tone. At least she has the information now and rather have her cope with it instead of later.

So Thomas had no idea about what was the purpose of bringing them all there either, huh? That just added more and more to the mystery and if it wasn't for the fact that he seemed to be an honest person, she would probably have started doubting him. As it was, however, she had no reason to doubt his words, at least not until she got more information about Pandora.

And, as expected, there was no clear way out of there. Thomas admitted it to her with regret, as if he had been the one who had caused all of this or like it was his responsibility to find a way to escape. The way he apologized to her as well made her want to comfort him a little about it, but she wasn't sure of how to do that.

"It's alright, Thomas, it's not your fault." She reassured him in a comforting tone, smiling even though she still had a lot to process about this place. "Even if it might take some time, there has to be something that we can do about this."

It might have been blind optimism in face of such a bizarre and honestly rather grim situation, but that was how Brigitte managed to keep herself going. Just like her godfather, Reinhardt, no matter how many scars and bruises the world caused to her, she would always keep moving forward until the day her body finally stopped, and she had no intention of dying early.

Still, it was better to find a different topic to talk to instead of something so depressing. Luckily, Thomas had thrown her a hook earlier that she could use for a more lighthearted conversation.

"You asked about my equipment, right? It wasn't too hard to make, given that I was just adapting existing technology to make a version suited for myself, but it did take a good while to get everything done." She explained, glancing at her shield with a smile that was proud of the fruits of her work. "Does your world not have things like this?" He had mentioned that he had never seen anything like it, but the question here was whether it was because it flat-out didn't exist or if he just came from a place that wasn't as technologically advanced.

"It's alright, Thomas, it's not your fault. Even if it might take some time, there has to be something that we can do about this."

While her words were confident to for the fact that he had to be the one to bring bad news, it was still a bit saddening for him to have said it. As it were to the one person who told him the same thing, word travels fast along with denial and realization. A part of him felt relieved that she accepted the terrible news though Thomas still willing to try and find a way out of here as well.

"You know I will help you out in any way I can." He stated, not trying to come off as some creep or anything. But the idea of at least trying to find a way out of Pandora? It's worth a try. Hell, even helping others who think the same way about escaping this world is enough for him to want to aid them of the cause. Granted, there's not much he can do other than wield a modern handgun and other firearms. It's nothing like Brigitte and the technology she brought with her. Then again, maybe her advanced weaponry and resources would help.

"You asked about my equipment, right? It wasn't too hard to make, given that I was just adapting existing technology to make a version suited for myself, but it did take a good while to get everything done."

Thomas smiled but briefly. He did like the fact that she switched topics to a more comfortable one - one that they had a short time speaking about. He listened intentionally, nodding at how she stated she based her weapon off of existing technology. It was still confusing to him but at the same time, it made sense. Things evolve and intelligence evolves too. What's to say that in his world, something like that can happen? Though, he never read much of his world history since he grew up in a post-Apocalyptic world. The only thing that mattered while he grew up? Surviving.

"Does your world not have things like this?"

Just as he was about to say something in regards to her statement previously, he had been asked about his own world. Funny how he just thought about it and she brought it up. Thomas took another glance at her, followed by the energy shield and hammer. He shook his head almost as if he became disappointed about the technology he grew up on. "No." He slid out his handgun from the holster along the side of his left rib cage area, showing her the display of the gun. "This is just as advanced as it gets. Nothing more than bullets that can pierce through soft tissue. There are stronger and better firearms but they have the same thing: bullets." He could go on and explain about why firearms didn't advance so much as hers but he figured she would get bored. It could be something worth talking about another time or now, if she really want to.

It was nice to have someone who was on her side right off the bat like that. Brigitte nodded at Thomas, an appreciative smile on her face.

He then told her that the most technology he had available to him were the guns he carried with him. Taking a look of it, the design seemed old-fashioned for her world's current standards, but it would do it's job just fine.

"We have guns like that back home too, maybe with different ammo, but guns are guns all the same." Brigitte shrugged. "My armor is based on the armor of Crusaders, knights from Germany who wore giant armors, capable of gliding through the ground in spite of their bulk and projecting shields to protect them and others. My godfather is a Crusader and I'm his squire."

All the tales Reinhardt told her were exaggerated at times, but carried truth within themselves and Reinhardt himself was far from being a liar. He was a warrior and one hell of one at that. Even as his armor became worn and age took its toll on him, he showed no sign of stopping, which was why she had to step in and help him fight.

"Honestly even for the standards of my world, we're a little old-fashioned." She chuckled a little.

My armor is based on the armor of Crusaders, knights from Germany who wore giant armors, capable of gliding through the ground in spite of their bulk and projecting shields to protect them and others. So, their worlds are similar in a sense that having the same countries and firearms. But what made their worlds so different then? It was most likely over the fact that her world progressed faster than his. Then again, being born into a post-apocalyptic world has its downfalls. Learning about their history never occurred to them as the means for survival is the only thing worth learning.

But even so, Thomas managed to figure out the previous country names - one of which he lived in called "North America". Hearing "Germany" did ring a bell which really did surprise him. How is it that both worlds have the same names, nearly the same weaponry but one is far more greater than the other? It really questioned just how the hell the universe works now.

Thomas did stop for a moment, quietly sliding his gun back inside its holster as he listened to what she had to say. A single nod gave way to acknowledge her words, holding back the surprised look at the mention of "Germany." Though, he didn't know much about Crusaders, knights or even squires. Why? Well, again, born into a post-apocalyptic world has a lot of disadvantages. This includes history of the world before it went to shit.

"Strange. You mention Germany and where I come from, we have a country called just like it. I don't know much but I can tell you that Crusaders, knights and even squires did exist before everything went to hell. But what really interests me is that your world advanced a lot in comparison from where I'm from. But I guess that's what happens when the sun flare hits Earth and destroys almost everything." Realizing that he put too much negativity in his words, he blinked and shook his head some. "Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound so depressing."

"Your godfather is a Crusader? Sounds like someone to look up to." Someone Thomas would surely would follow in their footsteps, to be sure. Granted, he never met his real parents and presumed they died from the flare virus. He did live with WCKID which was probably a gift and a curse for substituting the void of parents.

"Honestly even for the standards of my world, we're a little old-fashioned."

A look of surprise followed by a half smile rode along his lips. Despite how incredibly advanced her suit of armor look, including the energy wielding shield, hearing that they are a little old-fashioned really caught his interest. "Oh? Well, I believe it. What else is old-fashioned?" Curiosity got the best of him, already trying to get to know her background and the world she came from. It was nice to know that they have some similarities, making it so that he wasn't completely alone and lost.

There was a moment where Thomas stopped, apparently, something in her words had caught his attention. That turned out to be the mention of Germany, which he mentioned also existed in his world. So that confirmed that they were both from Earth, but the event Thomas mentioned was… definitely not something that happened in her version of Earth.

"No, we never had anything of that kind happen in my Earth…" She spoke with a sympathetic tone, carrying some pity within it.

What he said sounded much, much worse than what the Omnic Crisis had been, at least humanity was still able to make a lot of progress after it happened. So many technological advancements happened and they didn’t seem to be coming to a stop anytime soon. When Thomas said this sun flare destroyed everything, he probably wasn’t exaggerating much.

Then the topic of Reinhardt came up, as well as the reason the two of them were considered to be old-fashioned. Well, that was a more positive thing to talk about, certainly.

"Yes… My godfather dedicated his whole life to protecting others, to prevent innocents from getting hurt in conflicts. He and the Crusaders all followed an honorable code of chivalry and he was one of the founding members of a big organization responsible for keeping peace through the world." Brigitte spoke with palpable pride in her tone, but it soon began to lose that spark of joy in it. "Unfortunately, the organization was a victim of a lot of controversies and ended up being shut down. My godfather wouldn’t stop there though, he was determined to keep doing his job even if it was by himself, so I decided to go along with him. To keep him some company, as well as out of trouble." She chuckled, although there was a tinge of melancholy to it.

"At first I just made sure to keep the equipment working and helping him do some good around the world, but I saw him keep getting himself hurt, and there’s only so much you can heal before it becomes too much, so I decided to join him on the battlefield and that’s why I’m like this now." She tapped her shoulder with the mace, the clank of her armor serving as a reminder of how she was currently equipped. "Most people in my world fight with guns since they’re more practical than getting in people’s faces and smashing them, but fighting isn’t our main concern, our role is to protect our allies so that they can keep fighting for as long as possible."
