Rey was wandering around the edges of Pandora Town. It was a morning she was taking off from the shop though she had every intention of heading back in the afternoon in order to finish off some repairs on a television and some laptops which had been brought to her. Most of it was easy work but people paid her well for it. It bemused Rey, something she'd always felt was a hobby was now bringing her a nice income and with none of the risks her scavenging had given her. It meant that she always went home to Ben at a reasonable time and without risking limbs as had been the way with scavenging all over Pandora.

Today she was just looking to see what there was here. The plains had moved into some abandoned buildings amongst tall grass which stretched as far as the eye could see. There was some rustling amongst the grass but she paid it no heed, not for the moment anyway. On her belt hung both her sabers; the double staff she'd been given by Jaesa and the one she had gained from Takodana. She felt more secure having them with her rather than leaving them in the house. She'd never forgive herself if something happened to one of them.

As she was about to walk past one of the abandoned farms, Rey paused as she heard some bleeps. She moved through the half ruined building, stepping over a low wall which would have once towered up to make up the front room. The bleeps got louder and much more familiar until she pinpointed what they were and where they were coming from. There, in what must have been the cellar part of the farm, was BB-8. Her eyes narrowed on the droid; she hadn't seen him in a few weeks, since Poe had taken him back. "BB-8?" She cried, then looking around for Poe, for he must surely have been here. BB-8 seemed to read her thoughts and whistled forwards, "What do you mean Poe's gone?" However, the droid was cut off, the rustling was growing louder, and she realised there might just be a reason why BB-8 was hiding out in the cellar of an abandoned building in the middle of nowhere. It was clear they weren't alone.

    15 Minutes prior:

Tatsuya had decided to take a stroll outside of the city into the countryside. His first couple of weeks in Pandora had been eventful to say the least, he'd been sucked into the Otherworld numerous times as he slept. It was as if something in that place called to him. He rubbed his eyes near where they met his nose- It was certainly affecting his sleep. He had to get away from the shelter and clear his head. Not to mention he needed to actually get out in this new world and meet more people in this strangest of second chances. Third chances?

The wind felt good as it played through his hair, and the sun warmed his face. If the road wasn't so bumpy here he might have just closed his eyes as he walked along. For awhile there, it was like he didn't have a care in the world. Sure, he brought his sword along as reassurance, but so far nothing unusual seemed to lurk around.

Back "home" the only way to get away from people like he was now was the climb Mt. Iwato. A lack of people. The thought stuck his head for a moment before he realized something. A rare smile crossed his lips, he could take the chance to work on his impressions. He found them somewhat too childish to practice out in public, but he enjoyed having the skill. He worked on whistling and struck a tune, from there he moved to actual impersonations. He practiced throwing his voice like a crowd talked, imitated construction equipment, and finally ended with his favorite- motorcycle noises. Then there were the frantic beeps.

He couldn't do frantic beeps. A small, panicking sphere burst from the overgrown grassland along the side of the road. A top it's head was a rotund disc with several cameras and antennas.

"A robot?" Tatsuya found himself staring, mouth agape.

The droid hurried over to him, frantically beeping to the point of lunacy. It looked around, its disc, a head if Tatsuya could call it that, darted about before it settled on the horizon. It rocked back and forth, as if it were a blood hound pointing out a quarry. A distance away a truck of sorts rumbled into view. Tatsuya squinted his eyes and put his hand to his brow to keep the sun from them. He saw a mottled trio of what he could only guess were scavengers. One hung off the side of the truck wielding a pipe over his head, brandishing it. So, they were angry scavengers.

The droid at his side began to quake- Not that Tatsuya even knew what a droid was. It did puzzle him though,as far he knew robots couldn't know fear. This was Pandora, however.

"You running from them?" He hazarded a guess. To his surprise the droids orange and white head bobbed up and down. This thing could understand him, thought he had no clue what binary was.

The odd couple didn't have time to flee before the group were upon them, slamming on their brakes and sending dust over Tatsuya. He very clearly didn't approve. The pudgiest of the lot, sitting in the passenger seat wearing goggles too tight for his face, spoke up as leader of the group.

"Thank yer' for find my droid. We'll be taking it from 'ere."

Tatsuya glanced down at the robot, it having ducked back behind his leg. Upon making "eye" contact with him, it shook its head vehemently back and forth. It clearly had free will, and most certainly did not like these three.

"Doesn't look like he wants to."

The pudgy man rolled in his chair angrily. "That don't matter, it's my property!"

Tatsuya fixed him with a glare that shut him up promptly. To Tatsuya's even further surprise he could have sworn the robot chuckled with a series of high pitched beeps.

The driver of the truck-like vehicle would have none of it and hit the gas, turning toward them. Tatsuya and the mechanical ball ran from the road without a further word. Into the grassy field they went. The rough terrain slowed the truck down only for a moment, and it quickly began gaining on them- The mechanical roar getting closer and closer to Tatsuya's ears.

He realized that the grass was tall enough here to hide the little robot, but if he continued to run with him they'd both get caught.

"Get out of here, hide in that house over there! They can only see me!"

He was confident that they couldn't hear him over the roar of the engine. The robot hesitated again and Tatsuya, frustrated shout to "Do it!". It whistled and veered off toward the ruins cellar. Tatsuya on the other hand, veered the opposite direction towards some other ruins to pull them farther away and in the hopes that the small grouping of buildings would force them out of their car.

He didn't know why he was sticking his head out for what could just be a hunk of junk. Maybe he really was just a glutton for punishment.

    -----

    Current Time:

    The plan had worked. Mostly.

The three had disembarked after him, but one of them pulled out some sort of tracking device and headed toward the cellar where the robot had gone. He had been stupid, these people of course had some means to track him overland. There's no way they could have come so close to finding it in these fields without some sort of sensor.

The ensuing fight hadn't got so stellar either. Tatsuya disarmed the fat man easily, sending his metal pipe flying and knocking him out with unforgiving punches and kicks. He wasn't interested in killing them, thugs they may be. Slavers, perhaps? If the term could be applied to robot hunters. Hell if he knew.

It was the third man who had turned the fight on Tatsuya. He had drawn a weapon that looked like Tatsuya's katana before it began to vibrate at hyper-sonic speeds. The tricky bastard had activated it at the last second too, causing it to cut clean through the upper quarter of Tatsuya's blade before digging into his off arm. Had he not fallen back as fast as he did he might have lost the limb.

Now, he stood across from his assailant, who smirked at him. Tatsuya's vision was rosy colored, and pain seared up from his left arm as hot, oozing blood dripped down it. Without the ability to summon his Persona or make full use of its speed buff, Tatsuya realized just how soft he'd become in the physical world. If he didn't think of something fast he'd be eating dust.

"When I'm done here you won't be smiling." Tatsuya cursed himself internally. He always had to try to get the one liner in, didn't he?

"That's really cute kid. I think I might take my time making you regret that attitude now." The man replied, taking a step forward.

Meanwhile, the man with the tracker burst out from the tall grass near Rey and BB-8. Seeing Rey startled him enough that he hesitated. BB-8 began to chatter furiously at Rey, desperately trying to tell her what was going on.

BB-8 had seen sense to take cover, Rey had understood that at least. She felt a keen sense of unease and she reached out with the Force and could feel several different lifeforms around her. She was willing to bet that not all of them were pleasant. BB-8 was screeching at her, something like the situation with Teedo- Teedo? Rey looked down at him, watching where she held her saberstaff so she didn't cut through anything accidentally as it was much bigger and more difficult to manoeuvre than her blue saber.

Someone then burst through the grass, BB-8's screeches were enough to tell her that this person was not to be trusted and that they had to get away from them. Rey couldn't make out some of BB-8's screechings but she could tell that there was someone else here who had been helping the droid. Right. Well first things first.

"Give up the droid." The man said, trying to look imposing. Rey was intimidated or even slightly impressed. She held her saber the way which she had been taught to, so it angled across her body with her feet in a confident kind of standing.

"Get out now," She whirred the staff towards him, blaring her teeth at him and yelling in his direction. Rey screeched and lunged forwards, bringing it down just beside the man who yelled and fell over backwards. Seeing her opportunity, she cut through one of the beams, bringing it down to the side, just beside the man so it would cover him in dust but wouldn't actually cause him any problems, "BB-8, run!" She said, though the droid didn't go in the opposite direction, he was still going on about another person here, someone who had helped BB-8.
