to Pandora

By the hands of the Gods, you have been plucked from your time and from your world, dropped into the box. Only the box is a world of its own.

We are a mass crossover based on the concept of Pandora's Box. Characters from nearly any fandom can be played here. Because of the endless character possibilities, we are canon only here at Pandora. Take a peek at our rules and plot information before starting your new life in Pandora.

    Activity Checks

Our activity checks run from the 1st through 7th of every month, starting and ending at 12:00AM EST. As stated in our rules, we require a minimum of three (3) posts per character per activity check. If that requirement is not made or if an individual does not post in the activity check, accounts will not be saved and subsequently deleted when the activity check is over. Exceptions are made for absences which are pulled from the list on the very last day of the check, usually a couple hours before its end. Please make sure to either post in the Absences forum or PM an admin to ensure that your absence does not get lost in the mix or go unseen. We will allow, at most, two consecutive passes to the Activity Check. A third pass in a row will not be accepted.

However, as stated, this is just our required minimum when it comes to activity. Ideally, we would like to see people posting at least once a week with their the bulk of their character rosters and to see them regularly replying to their threads in a timely fashion. Plot heavy and group threads should take precedence over other threads as results are needed in order to enhance stories and should adhere to a 4 day skip policy. If you know you are going to be absent during that time, please try to inform you group of your absence and give them whatever information you deem necessary about your character and its role in the thread/plot in order to keep things moving.

    Government Position Activity Requirements
We have a number of characters in government positions across all our towns, and the required number of posts for these characters is 5.

The positions that will require 5 in character posts per month are the following:

    Character Caps

There are a few instances in which character caps will be given out. Character caps are a temporary maximum of characters a person is allowed to play for a specific amount of time and are always sent through PMs. The staff will do their best to decide the amount of characters in which they believe a person can handle in order for them to focus on the activity of their current roster as opposed to spreading themselves thin.

    These instances are as followed:

    • Last minute posting. When the bulk of your required posts are repeatedly done during the week of the activity check, particularly in the last day or two.
    • Large amount of threads and/or characters with excessively slow reply times. If their activity is affecting many others due to having more threads/characters than it looks like they can handle.
    • Excessively rotating your character line-up. While members are free to pick up and drop as many characters as they’d like, it becomes an issue when characters are repeatedly dropped and applied for over a short period of time, usually on a whim, as it is disruptive towards plotting.
    • Issues with character portrayal.
We generally wait 2-3 months before lifting the cap to ensure that there’s continued improvement. If you do not hear back from the staff in that time-frame, please send us a PM so we can review your case.
