The sight of a battered child lying face down in the sand was thankfully not something one saw everyday. Today, however, was an unfortunate exception as Damian lay still and prone on the coastline of what he didn't know was Cascade Bay. The only movement was the wind blowing gently through his hair and the tide that licked at his side every so often as it would surge forward and then retreat. Along with the water went small streaks of blood, leaking through a gash on the back of his head and different cuts and scrapes over his body.

Then, the unexpected happened. His gloved fingers began to twitch, betraying the bit of life still left in his beaten body. His shoulders moved after that and his chin shifted as he tried to get his bearings, consciousness trickling in slowly and accompanied by pain. However, pain was nothing new to him. Damian bit back any groan that might've escaped his lips, as he'd learned young that expressions of weakness were absolutely unacceptable with Ra's al Ghul. And with his father, it just meant he got doted on instead in the man's strange way, and that may have been even worse than the punishment.

Behind the white lenses of his mask, Damian blinked his way to alertness. Slowly, he dragged himself to his elbows, unable to push himself up just yet. In his head, he cursed Deathstroke and Tara for what was likely the billionth time. That coward. He'd only come after him once he was immobilized. He should've undid his rocky restraints and let him defend himself. It was almost laughable how he blamed him for losing favor with the League when he fought with no shred of honor in the first place.

Taking a breath, Damian reached up to run his fingers through his hair, trying to get the beach to stop spinning beneath him. His entire body stung from the saltwater touching his open cuts, and it also ached from the blows that had landed upon him from metal-toed boots and a long-lasting grudge. Despite him quickly trying to scan his surroundings the best he could to figure out where he was -- without even going into the how he got there -- he almost wished Deathstroke would come out just so he could blind him in the other eye.

First thing's first, though... With the sand suddenly in his mouth, he's pretty sure he just collapsed back onto the ground.

It was one of those rare moments where the blonde teenager was not stalking after his wounded father, but he fully intended to when he returned to the house. He had gone in search of food at the local market, but on his return journey to the house had been distracted by the sandy beaches that ran alongside Cascade Bay and had found his feet had guided him onto the sandy beach. there he had begun to stroll along the golden sand, gripping the bags of food as he let the sound of the waves crashing against the shore lull him into a relaxed state. A state that he found so hard to get into currently, what with all the trauma he had suffered recently, but he had to be strong for his father.

Despite this his paranoia caused him to never go anywhere without his bow and arrows which were slung over his bright orange t-shirt marked with the words Camp Half-Blood or the few hidden knives he had strapped on hidden under his jeans. It was his paranoia which caused him to stop when he saw something odd ahead of him on the sand, near where the waves crashed into the shoreline. It was the fear which nearly sent him scurrying in the opposite direction, but then his curiosity got the better of him, driving him forwards in a cautious walk.

It was then he realised the oddity was a strangely dressed being who looked like a human boy. From what he could see the boy appeared injured and then his compassion cut in, causing him to forget his fear and approach as the boy sat up. Finding his voice he called out"Hey? You look hurt.... Are you ok?" He was reluctant to touch the other, he'd only be cursing him with his curse and yet all he wanted to do was reach out and heal the other boys cuts.

Cascade Bay was, perhaps, the ugliest part of this new universe in Selina's opinion. Sure, the view was nice and all, but the amount of sand and water around...it was gross. Or just uncomfortable, when you had to wear a leather suit at night and patrol the place.

She was scouting the area for a Miss Swan's new whereabouts...trying to look like a casual civilian, except she had her Catwoman cowl's nightgoggles perked on her head, keeping her short hair back, in case she needed them for some reason.

Yet scouting the beach and the scenery too did not prove to be as boring as Selina had anticipated.

Two shapes were on the shore, one of a blond teenager, and another one predominantly red..green.. it looked way too familiar.

It all deserved a closer, better look, even if there was a stranger around the lump of familiar colors being brushed by the waves. However, Miss Kyle would rather play it safe than roll a risky dice and miss out.
So she momentarily abandoned her initial search, to approach the two frames on the sand.

The closer she got, the more her brows furrowed, as the red and blue frame looked way too much like the frame of the boy she saved a while ago from grave injuries, who had fallen from a building close to her empire of cats.

She didnt know the other boy, but he seemed to be lingering a bit too close to the Robin for. Catwoman's liking. "Hey, back away from him!" No, she didnt know his intentions. And honestly, she wouldnt want a stranger touching Damian either. "Damian??" Where had this kid been until now, what the fuck.

Like a rather disgruntled starfish, Damian lay spread-eagled and face down on the ground while he tried to get his bearings. All of the harsh training in his life should've more than prepared him to weather a beating even from somebody like Deathstroke, so he couldn't understand why he was in so much pain. He was pretty sure his body hurt more than when he remembered falling unconscious underneath the man's boot. His legs felt like jelly, his throat and nose burned like hot oil had been poured down it, and it felt like he'd been hit by a truck or five.

He grit his teeth and ignored the crunching of sand in his mouth as he tried to think about why he was lying in the sand in the first place. There was Tara and then Deathstroke, and then there was nothing. All he remembered was a dream in which he was drowning. Then, he just woke up on what seemed like a beach if the tide brushing against him was any--

They dumped him in the ocean, didn't they?

"Great," he muttered to himself even as he registered concerned voices around him. For whatever insane reason, they'd thrown him in the sea without even finishing the job, and he'd woken up along some strange coastline to be gawked at like a zoo exhibit. With a grunt, he pushed himself to his elbows once more, sand sticking all over his face and hair like he was an angry powdered donut. "I'm absolutely fine, as you can see."

Damian might've agreed with the female voice that this boy should definitely not try to touch him -- at least not when all he wanted to do was crawl off and lick his wounds in peace -- except it was the last part that send a sharp shock through his system. The only people that called him by his first name while he was in costume were either idiots or enemies. The only question was which was she.

"Who are you?" he demanded, glaring at her behind his mask with his mouth set in a firm, familiar frown.

He heard someone else approaching and could not help the nervous glance over his shoulder, catching sight of a woman in an interesting outfit (I mean who would be wearing leather in this weather on the beach?) as she called to him not to touch the boy before him. Then the boy before him was lifting himself onto his elbows, a snarky response coming from his mouth and Will almost smiled, as he thought ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer... Quietly to himself even as the woman was saying a name and a frown was settling on the kids face as he responded to the woman asking who she was.

Will sighed, before speaking up"I think out of all of us, I should be the one demanding everyone stay back considering I'm the only one not dressed up like I'm on a film set with my face hidden.... Or dressed like I'm part of a motor bike gang, all in leather... But my duty requires me to act rather than idly sit back when there is an injured person before me.... You see I am a healer... I go by Will... And as nice as sitting here getting to know one other as if we were camping out on the beach would be... It is my medical duty as a healer to take a look at your wounds because you are obviously not as 'fine' as you claim..." Idly he ran a hand upwards towards his fringe, pushing the blonde locks away from his startling blue gaze letting a seriousness settle in his bright blue gaze as he looked upon the other boy.

He knew all he needed to do was get his hands upon Damian, but he'd rather do so with the others consent as the guy looked like the sort of person who would attempt to cut off his hands if he went for it without consent and he'd suffered enough thank you very much. He also was wary to touch the other and use his abilities because he was only going to suffer for using them, that was what all the past incidents told him. Yet something was driving him forwards, telling him he had to, that he could not not do his duties.

Well, fine was one way to put it. However, Selina had a hard time believing that. Not when the boy had cuts everywhere and his red suit had had a new paint job.

She raised a brow at how the boy tried to seem invincible and all, but he wasn fooling anyone. However, Selina couldnt help but give the unknown teen a look of disbelief and being unimpressed as he went on lecturing them about healing or something. Dude didnt know the mini Bats. Dude should piss off, in her opinion.

Selina crouched to attempt to lend a helping hand to the batboy, help him stand up properly or at least to his knees, or see if he even accepted her help, while the other teen went on babbling like someone who thought themselves important in the movies. "You dont remember me?" What? "Whoever tossed you here must have landed a good blow on you." By good, she meant amnesia-inducing. "C'mon, get up, Goldilocks here is right, you need help, your bravado isnt fooling me. It never will." What was with the batfamily and their stubborn desire to seem fine? Christ.

Selina also hadnt encountered any "Robins" yet, in the universe she had been pulled from, and it made no sense to call the boy anything other than what he introduced himself to her as, and what Bats kept calling him around - Damian.

Regardless of everything, she had still not introduced herself. A Catwoman habit. "Do the others know of your beach trips?" It sounded funnier in her head.
