    Open Thread - June 4th, Year 7

There was a calm breeze sifting through the treetops. It was different here than it was in Japan.

Naraku knew hours before that this hadn't been a coincidence. Some force had dragged him here and now he was trapped. Even now as he walked through the trees, the half demon could feel it. There was a force around him in the background suppressing things. It was like walking through humidity, only instead of clinging to his skin, it clung underneath it. How irritating.

His kimono tugged slightly with another gust of air, almost as though it was willing him forward. He could sense large amounts of demon activity recently. At least he would not be for want of new demons here. His wounds were still healing and he would need to replace parts soon. For a moment, he mulled over the idea that Inuyasha had followed him. He assumed not, for the scent of the mutt hadn't made its way near him. That would only make things more annoying than this weighted feeling.

He came upon a clearing in the woods. Finding a patch of grass, Naraku sat down, his limbs lost in the fabrics of his clothes. If this were not Japan, then where could he be? This clearly was not Hell and a creature such as himself could think to ever be accepted into heaven. Though the thought of him entering heaven was amusing. If the gods accepted such a wicked creature as himself, then clearly they were no better than him.

You could always tell how good a day was going to be by the weather. And judging by how it was fairly nice out, and the summer heat hadn't decided to take over spring just yet, there didn't seem to be a more perfect time to just explore the wide open world that was Pandora. He had been around the outskirts, spent a little time in the main town, and hung out by the bay, but there was one place that just gave off the weirdest energy.

The second his feet touched the ground, he got the chills. He did not like ghosts. After all, ghosts weren't supposed to just hang around. He wasn't scared of them, per se. They just really, really gave him the creeps in concept. And the fact that this creepy place had a creepy forest that was practically made of ominous, creepy fog, his feelings just got worse. Guess they didn't call it 'Misty Hollow' for nothing, huh? Still, there was no time to be scared. It was nice everywhere else, and despite the fact that he was picking up a general energy that basically felt like what he assumed a horror movie would feel like, the weather wasn't awful here either.

So, he began his trek around the forested outskirts of Misty Hollow, making sure his gi didn't get scraped up by the brush, and somewhat hoping that if he was attacked by some large, deadly ghost-beast, he could at least give it a good fight.

Was that a person? Maybe it was a ghost. Did ghosts usually just put out energy of almost pure malice? He had been to HFIL once, and even then he hadn't felt a vibe like that before. Still, nothing would get done just by staring at the guy. He cleared his throat, before stepping into the clearing, beginning to wave before seeing the calm, relaxed position he was in. It was rude to disturb someone while they were meditating, evil energy or not, so he just sat down across from him, legs folded in a lotus position. He'd wait it out before he asked if this guy was a ghost or not.

To say it was peaceful here was deceptive. There were still spirits stirring hidden in the background and even the animals were quiet. Naraku was enjoying himself none the less. He had much to think about in regards to his new situation. The why he was taken here is what puzzled him the most. Naraku had many enemies that would gladly cast him away. It was clearly a curse of some kind. But it would have to have been my someone incredibly powerful. He himself was unable to break the barrier he had fortified himself behind. His only guess would be a god, but Naraku had never encountered one before. It would be unusual that of all the things to have ignored, why would a god only cast him away now?

His thoughts were interrupted when another being had entered the area. Opening his eyes, Naraku regained focus on what was before him. A tall man stood wearing some kind of vibrant martial arts uniform. Immediately, Naraku could sense something from him. He couldn't place what he felt, but he knew he needed to be weary of the man. It was easy to assume he was a warrior based off his build and how he carried himself. This one was a human, or at least resembled very closely to one. But there was something else too. There was power there.

Naraku straightened his posture, but remained seated. "Hello," Naraku said. He remained expressionless, curious as to who the stranger was and what he wanted.

    "Do you need something?"

He remained sitting, not wanting to be the first one to stand up. After all, he might not be the sharpest in the box, but he learned a little bit of basic etiquette when it came to this sort of stuff. And oddly, just this sort of stuff. He quickly raised one hand, waving as soon as the other mans eyes opened with a grin. He wasn't sure if this guy in particular was new to Pandora, but this was certainly the first time he'd felt an energy like that. Maybe he just hadn't been looking hard enough. He had been a bit distracted.

"Yo! My name's Goku! What's yours?" He asked, rocking back and forth a bit, before stopping. This guy did dress pretty old fashioned. Not like he looked old, but people were so different around here that age seemed real wonky. Maybe is where more manners would come in handy. He started over, bowing his head down a bit. "I mean, sorry to bother you, and uh..." He glanced upwards, thinking for a moment. "It is a, uh, real honor to, uh, make your acquaintances? Acquaintanci? Acq... wait... no..." He mumbled for a moment, before groaning and jumping right to the point.

"Anyways! I was just flying around, and I felt that you had one hell of a power coming from you, so I wanted to check it out! Also..." He grinned, before his expression grew dire. This was it. The moment of truth. The question that had been pending in his brain for the past three minutes was finally about to get it's chance in the limelight.

    "...Are you a ghost?"

The friendly man wearing a stupid grin as he was looking at him. An outgoing denizen of this land apparently. Naraku couldn't really perceive any ulterior motives from him or his friendliness. For how long that lasted, he wasn't one to know. When Naraku didn't respond right away, the man continued on, bumbling over his words. If this was some kind of test of his patience, Naraku found it an effective ploy. Either that, or this man was just an idiot. A powerful idiot.

What interested him, however, was what the man had said about Naraku's power. A normal mortal wouldn't feel his presence, let alone be able to sense his demonic power. The mention of being able to fly also was a peculiar comment. Naraku's initial assumption of him proved correct, which only increased his caution.

"I am Naraku," the half demon replied. A small smile played on his lips at the ghost comment. "That is an unusual assessment. I am, in fact, quite alive."

"I sense a great power from you as well. Though it seems different than any I have ever perceived before. What are you?"

Naraku's curiosity was genuine. Whatever land he had entered upon, he wouldn't have expected humans to have supernatural powers. This stranger appeared to be willing to talk with him, so Naraku asked, "Where am I? I was taken her by an unknown force and deposited here."

Ah, so this guy wasn't a ghost. Well, that didn't explain the crazy energy, but at least he wasn't dealing with some escaped guy from Hell. Did this place even have a Hell? There was an assumption, but he hadn't been able to travel there, and he hadn't been able to pick up any real energy signatures outside of 'Pandora'. It was like being trapped in a cage, which he liked less and less the more he thought about it. Still, he hadn't been itching to go too far away from Pandora. Trapped or not, it was really nice!

This Naraku guy seemed really reserved, though. Not even cagey, just like they were playing cards or something, and nobody really felt like showing their full hand. That made sense, after all, not everyone was open.

He chuckled as Naraku noted some of his power. He hadn't been outputting a whole bunch, but he supposed it was just natural with his current strength. Once you reached a high enough ceiling, 'low' to you might as well be 'great' to someone else. He rubbed the back of his head, grinning.

Then came the million dollar question. He knew what he was, obviously, but if he said 'Saiyan', would he understand? Sure, there were Saiyans in alternate universes, but this was a different alternate universe than his alternate universe and-- ugh! Why did everything have to be so hard? He'd need to simplify this super hard. He was a Saiyan, that was sent to Earth, so he was a Saiyan, but since he was a citizen of Earth, then he was an Earthling, but he also gained the powers of a God and...

He scratched his head, frowning down at the ground as he mumbled through his options, before looking back at Naraku, dismissively waving a hand. "Can we put a pin in that one for a bit? It's kind of a long story..." He chuckled, sheepishly, before reaching something he could answer. "Oh, you're talking about the vines, huh? Yeah, I wasn't even strong enough to get away from them. Once they get you, you're stuck! Oh! And this is Pandora!" He gestured to the area around them.

"This specific place is, uhm, something Hollow...? Muddy Hollow, I think!"

Naraku's brows lowered, though out of curiosity as to why Goku was reluctant to reveal his true nature. What did the man wish to hide? He made note of it. What the man said next was of greater interest. Apparently this man had experienced the same situation as he had. At least he now had a name for his location. Pandora. That was a name foreign to him. Naraku also did not know of a place known as Muddy Hollow.

Naraku tilted his head slightly. "I see. I am unfamiliar with either location."

At least it was now confirmed he wasn't in Heaven or Hell, being as Goku himself thought him a ghost. Where else this place could be, however, Naraku didn't have much of an idea. Even if this was some kind of spirit realm, this felt nothing like it. It was most peculiar.

"Where are you from?" Naraku asked. Clearly this man was a prisoner of this place as well. It was the best way to describe their situation being as they had not been taken here willingly clearly. At least Goku didn't appear to mind the experience.

In the meanwhile, Saryuu had just arrived in the area with his goggles still over his purple hues before he heard a commotion going on in the distance and turned his attention towards them. Strangers, the both of them, however, he's just going to keep his distance from them because he would prefer to see to it on his own terms.

Though, to be honest, engaging with others would be more preferred among other options, but right now, he's looking for Fei and any trace of other SSCs around as he would be, but all he got is a sense of sinister paranormal activity around this place..well among other things.

He's killed some supernatural monsters recently.

"Where am I from?" He chuckled, before gesturing around him. "All over, I guess! I haven't really found myself a place to stick around yet, there's so many options and all this stuff about money and paying and 'finances'..." His eyes glazed over a moment as he tried to just think about all that stressful stuff. Back home he had a house on a mountain, and he could at least farm to make cash to pay for it. Here everything was so different, that he just decided that it would be simpler to wander around and maybe do some odd jobs if he got the chance.

"...Anyways! I guess I've been sticking around the forests a bit more. Good access to food, and Cascade Bay has tons of fish!" Speaking of, he would have to head back there. Maybe he could sell fish? Selling fish was basically the same thing as selling radishes, except he had to actually kill the fish. So not like it at all.

His wide eyes narrowed for a moment, making a motion for Naraku to hush as he felt another presence. Not as malicious, but it was new, and the fact that it was sneaking around meant that it was either shy, waiting to attack, or scared. "Hold on one teeny second please." He said to Naraku, pushing himself up to his feet and looking around, before finally getting a lock. He waved in the general direction of the newcoming, grinning.

"Heeeey! Don't be shy! We don't bite! Well, I don't, I'm not so sure about my friend here yet!" He gave Naraku a side-long glance, laughing, before continuing to flag the new guy over.

Saryuu furrowed his eyes from behind his goggles. What? What the hell is this guy is trying to imply? He could take that energy to raise his gun and kill another monster just about now to subtly vent. Why does he have a feeling that this guy is the equal to the bearing over-friendliness that Tenma has? Good grief.

    Yeah, he was that annoyed.

"Not everyone that comes here is scared." he sighed, eyes closing before reopening them, focusing on the raven-haired individual in the orange jumpsuit. "I can defend myself, don't talk down to me as if I am a little scared child. Mind yourself."

    Those days were long gone.

However, he would have to admit: the other in the distance seems more down-to-earth. Atleast someone is reasonable.

Jeez, for a little kid, he definitely had a bit of an attitude. Reminded him of Trunks, but not the serious one from the future. The sorta-mean kid one from his timeline. "Heh, obviously not everyone that comes here is scared! I wasn't scared when I came here-- although I did get a bit nervous at this guys crazy energy. Gave me shudders. Eeeeugh."

"I didn't mean to say you were some scared kid, you were just hiding in the brush over there!" He gestured vaguely to where the new kid was standing to emphasize his point, before glancing back at Naraku. "A little help? I'm not exactly awesome at this." His sons didn't exactly have smart mouths when they were kids. They were nice, and if there was back-talk, Chi-Chi would have taken care of it, because she was much better at handling it than he was.

"I was just offering you a chance to hang out! I mean, not like it's a super big opportunity, but, man, I don't know. Just saying hi!" He was thoroughly stumped. He dropped back down in his lotus position, resting his head in his hands in thought. He definitely wasn't a kid whisperer.
