Watanuki had talked to a lady on the social media site called Starkbook, similar to one in his own universe which is likely where the name came from. He's even heard this Stark was responsible for a few other daily conveniences that people enjoy here, and like others he'd heard disappeared like some do hopefully back to their own world.

But he'd invited the lady known as @Ruby Knowby to his place in Misty Hollow, he was going to help here find a certain book of hers. Even he could guess that it was more then a simple book and likely had something else peculiar about it, but he wouldn't know until Ruby came and told him about it.

His house was sit up and ready for guests, an antique looking table and chairs were sit up in the front room while Watanuki's roman couch was also there. He would lay there smoking until the lady arrived, however he had prepared some snacks as well as an assortment of drinks. Some of which were alcoholic and he had a hard time getting Mokona from trying to drink them, promising the strange creature it's own share later if it behaved itself while the guest was here. He waited for Ruby Knowby to arrive, knowing she seemed like she wanted this book back quite desperately.

Normally Ruby didn't go for these sort of people who could find anything, hell back on Earth nobody could just find the book. It didn't work that way, aside form Ash. For some annoying reason that bastard tripped on it everywhere he went. But the Necronomicon wasn't here, at least that she knew of but if someone could help her get it, that would work better. If Ash William's could be pulled from a certain time then her book had any opportunity to be pulled from a certain time as well.

Walking up to the house Ruby knocked lightly on the door and double checked she was at the right address again. This was stupid, there was no way in hell they were going to find this book. Trying to get her Necronomicon back was a pointless misadventure. This wasn't like Earth, it wasn't just laying around out here, was it? "It's ah, it's Ruby Knowby. From the Starkbook chat." She spoke up and took a step back straightening out her leather jacket. She should just turn around now, walk off, back into this cold damn town and do what? Drink herself shitfaced again? Do nothing? In the back of her mind she was calling herself weak, a coward. Like she wanted to stay human and powerless, at least the book gave her some power back.

Taking a step back from the door she could hear someone moving around inside, at least they were home. She was starting to think maybe they were out and in that case she wouldn't come back again or bother trying later. She would just head off.

The door opened on it's own, neither Mokona nor Watanuki got up to open it. "Come in Miss Knowby" rang Watanuki's voice as he laid on his roman sofa chair smoking on his pipe, the smoke filled the air above him and although tobacco smoke isn't the best smelling his didn't seem to put off a horrible smell for some reason.

"Welcome to my shop Ruby Knowby, if you wish some food or drinks. I have some prepared, I'll need some information on that you wish me to retrieve. So that I may find, a book was it" informed Watanuki not rising from his spot. Meanwhile Mugetsu the little pipe fox was sitting on the sofa bed above Watanuki eyeing off Ruby, making sure she didn't do anything stupid while Mokona just sat on a nearby chair drinking alcohol. "So you wish your book back, I'll tell you now. You wish won't be free, you'll have to give me something you value in return.

Which is equal to that which I'm retrieving, I'm not talking money either. It needs to be something of value to you as a person, I would think this book would be something but I'm sure there's something else"
explained Watanuki. Knowing that he would often have an idea of what people could offer but like Yuuko it was for them to make the offer first and then for him to decide if it was enough.

Miss Ruby Knowby? Well it was correct but not really. She supposed as far as anyone knew she was a 'miss'. Minus maybe Ash, Kelly, and Pablo who were more than informed about the horror that was her ex, Ba'al. Stepping into the room she looked around, already feeling a little unsettled and distrustful of this place and this person. She had to remind herself why she was wasting her time here when she should be keeping Ash from getting himself killed. If there was even the slight chance she might get the Necronomicon back then she had to take it. How else would she and Ash get back home and to their proper times. If she ended up in a world with both young Ash and old Ash Ruby was going to kill someone, herself included.

She stood there not really paying much attention tot he food and the drink. Sara had pointed out to her that she was going to have to eat and drink now to stay alive as a human but after having gotten wasted at the bar Ruby was gun shy about touching any drinks that weren't water. She was about to start giving very limited details on the Necronomicon until he said that she would have to give something of equal value to the book. Ruby laughed, at first just once small chuckle and then a bit of a stream of laughter as if someone had told a really funny joke but she was the only one in on it. "There is nothing in the world, this or any of equal value to that book." Well that wasn't true, the souls of all humanity might do it but where would be the fun in that? Unlike the others Ruby wasn't interested in erasing the human race. To be fair none of them were, humans just didn't register on their radar.

"This book, it's not just a book and it's not just some silly little magical book either." It was a portal, it was a key, it was one of the oldest most powerful books unknown to man. Capable of bringing Ruby and her kin back out of their prison. Moving you through space and time, there really wasn't a limit to it's power. That book could unleash literal hell, it could get her home, and it could get her powers back after her spawn had taken them. That was the idea anyways. Get home and find a way to get her powers back, take over the miserable little universe, and sit queen supreme on top of it all with her 'kin' trapped behind their little prison so they couldn't try and wrestle it away from her. At least that was what part of Ruby wanted. That mortal part of her wanted the book in safe keeping so no more mortal idiot's read from it.

Mokona gave a bit of a confused glare at the laughing lady, even going so far as throwing a small harmless cushion at her. Aimed for her body and wouldn't really do anything to her "You're welcome to leave, maniac" commented Mokona as it looked at her from it's seated position, holding it's drink in one hand and glaring at Ruby while it did so.

Watanuki sighed but could understand Mokona's frustration, while people came to the shop back home due to fate. The case maybe slightly changed her, the laws of this world seemed different to their own if not just for the power modification he got when arriving. "Mokona is correct, if you don't wish your book back. You're more then welcome to leave, you say there isn't much equal to this book. But you obviously know little of other realms outside of your own and perhaps you can offer something after the book is returned.

I'm guessing it will change you but do remember that most people and objects are toned down while in Pandora, so it may not be as powerful as it once was if retrieved"
informed Watanuki who had guessed from the lady's desperation that the book would give her some kind of change from her current state of being. He too could sense darkness within the being of the lady and was actually apprehensive about returning her book to her, but he also knew from experience of his own that it maybe toned down so if she did offer something for it this book might not be all she wants it to be.

Maniac? Ruby wasn't capable of having mental disorders like all of the inferior species. A great one couldn't go mad, they were already perfect, minds capable of comprehending everything including the very things that drove mortals to such extreme points that they were left no other choice than suicide. Incapable of coping with or understanding that which her species took for granted. It made the 'taunt' a little flat on her. Ruby caught the cushion without really even trying, her reflexes being incredible considering her constant war with deadites. She could move out of the way of a bowling trophy being tossed at her at inhuman strength and speed, a pillow was hardly a challenge.

She raised a brow then at the man, was he daft or just this bad at reading people? He probably couldn't even read her considering few could. "But you obviously know little of other realms outside of your own." That phrase alone made Ruby realize he wasn't going to be able to help her. The worm telling the god they knew less? He didn't even know her capabilities and clearly her's far outweighed his own. She wrote the book on worlds outside her 'own', literally. Her 'own' world was so above his that he would have had his tiny head implode simply from glancing at it. Telling a dark one they didn't understand other realms was equivalent to telling a dog it had an inferior sense of smell to a human. It was absurd and ignorant. In short it showed his lack of skill to Ruby.

Standing up she raised a brow at him. "You can't help me but thanks for the offer anyways." She should have known better than to give any mortal but Ash a chance to help her with the Necronomicon. He didn't know about the book, the dark ones, the dimensions, the power, how could one even comprehend that sort of chaos and then help her retrieve the book? Ash could only handle it because he was one of a kind, he was...special. It made him equal parts stupid and willful to do what he could do. Sometimes Ruby even wondered if he was more stubborn than she was. "Thanks anyways."
