BREAKING: the Pandora News Service has just learned that a hostage situation is currently underway at the Pandora Post Office, Pandopolis City. Early reports indicate that the building has been locked down using its own security measures, with the staff being unable to reverse the lockdown.

From eyewitness reports at the scene, it is believed that the "Riddler," an as-yet-unknown criminal previously responsible for a high profile art theft, is responsible; authorities believe that a riddle posted anonymously to social media yesterday to social media and spread from there is linked to this. We have reproduced the post below:

Spring is here at last! I love Spring, don't you? The air smells so fresh... unless you're in Pandopolis, of course.

    Hey, how about a riddle?

"What travels the whole world, but stays in its corner?"

    Well? I'm waiting.

Pandopolis authorities have asked that people do not approach the post office at this time, and that government forces have been deployed to try and resolve the situation. Given that the "Riddler" has been known to use traps, as our previous report into the art thefts and how they were carried out explained, it is understood that extreme caution is being advised for officers on the scene.

More on this story as it develops.
