Oh god. Oh god. Thea had forgotten how much it hurt to be shot. There was nothing like getting fatally stabbed, of course, but getting shot hurt like hell. It was rare to get shot, much more common to be shot at. But the suit absorbed the majority of the shots, when they hit. Still, a sniper rifle, with armor piercing shots, was an entirely a different matter. At least it hadn't lodged anywhere deadly, just in her shoulder.

She knew better to think that everything would be fine, though. Every wound can bleed out in time. And there wasn't a doctor that she could trust, and a shoulder wound was hard to treat by yourself. She had to get back to the cave, where at she at least had medical supplies and could handle it.

    Or try to.

She was losing more blood than she could afford to, and she was still in Radical Pointe, She took a step and the world tilted, and she fell to her knees, panting, one hand putting pressure on the wound. The world jarred again, and Thea collapsed, the blood almost invisible as it bled into her suit.

Luna took a deep breath of the night air. The crisp chill of early fall lingered in her lungs, aching slightly as her body protested. It wasn't bad. She could ignore that level of pain. Luna could still go on, still hide it under a well practiced mask of politeness and smiles. Prompto and Noctis, despite their past few weeks of travel, still remained ignorant of her pain thanks to this. Luna was determined to keep it that way for as long as she could.

Once again, the trio of friends found themselves in an unknown city. Ark City. A place that didn't exist before the Calamity yet now thrived with a hundred years of history behind it. Just like they had in every other city, they found an inexpensive hotel to stay the night. Luna in her room with her dogs Pryna and Umbra, Noctis and Prompto in their room. As much fun as Luna had with them during the day, she tried to leave them alone at night. The happy couple deserved time alone.

Pryna whined a little, her blue eyes looking up to Luna, clearly wondering why they had stopped walking. "I'm sorry girl." Luna said as she bent down to stroke Pryna's head. Umbra tugged gently on the hem of her dress. Poor things spent all day trapped in the back seat of a car. Luan couldn't blame them for wanting to stretch their legs.

"Alright. Alright." Luna stood and their walk commenced. Only, it took all of a minute before both Pryna and Umbra suddenly came to a halt. Their ears and tails stood high and alert, their noses twitching like crazy. Umbra barked with alarm and shot off down an alley, Pryna and Luna hot on his heels.

Right. Left. Right. Under a fence. Luna did her best to keep up with her dogs as they ran towards something unknown. Luna turned another corner and stopped. Umbra trotted up to a fallen figure and gave the red hooded person a worried sniff. Pryna stuck by Luna's side, whining. Carefully, Luna approached the person on the ground.

"Hello? Are you alright? Can you hear me?" She knelt down to try and her hand on the person's shoulder in the hopes of rousing them.

Someone was... talking to her? Oh, she was on the ground. That was new. She didn't think she liked it. What had happened, what had happened.... Thea had been shot. Oh yeah, that was what had happened. And someone was talking to her. "Y-yeah," Thea said quietly, using her own voice for once, "I-I can hear you." There was a burn in her shoulder where she had been shot, and a feeling of cold that spread from that point. Because she had been shot, so she was bleeding. Yeah, that made sense.

    She kept forgetting that.

Who was talking to her? Why was she hearing dogs? Was that just her imagination? Seriously, had she been found by a dog-walker? Was that what was going on? Hopefully she knew something about first-aid. Or could call an ambulance. Thea was registered, happily, but she also didn't want the club and the people who worked there to become targets for enemies that she had made. Still, she was getting off track. There was a person here. She sounded nice. Thea forced herself into a sitting position, ignoring the burn of the bullet wound.

The person in the red hood managed to rouse, her voice weak as she confirmed that she was at least conscious enough to respond. Luna pulled her hand away as the women forced herself into a sitting position, pain clear across her face. The tips of Luna's fingers felt wet. When she looked down, she saw the blood.

Luna's eyes widened. This was bad. "You mustn't move." Luna insisted. "I can help you, but you need to stay still or you'll bleed out."

Thanks to her experience at Misty Hollow's Clinic and her time as the Oracle, Luna knew what to do. She placed one hand on either side of the woman's wounded shoulder and bowed her head. A gentle golden light illuminated from her palms. "Blessed Stars of life and light," Luna began, her prayer intensifying the golden glow until it reached deep into the wound. Luna used her magic to carefully remove the bullet lodged in the hooded woman's shoulder. "deliver us from darkness blight." As her prayer concluded, the wound began to stitch itself up. It wasn't anything spectacular. The hole still remained, but the bleeding had stopped.

Luna lowered her hands, opening one palm to reveal the bullet. "It will take a few days for you to completely recover, but it will continue to heal. Unfortionatly, there's not much I can do about the scar it will leave behind."

Oh...oh.... oh. Thea sat still, almost impressively so, as a pleasant warmth spread through her shoulder where she had been shot. Her head was still groggy (it was the blood loss, of course, but the interesting thing about blood loss is that, when you lose enough blood, you forget the grogginess is caused by the blood loss, and then you forget about the blood loss), but it wasn't getting groggier, and now that that had stopped, Thea could start to clear her head by force. "I don't think I'm going anywhere," she replied, as dryly as she could manage with a gunshot wound.

Magic. Sometimes, Thea forgot that that was an option. It was nicer than getting the gunshot stitched up, that was for sure. No pain, and no steady hands necessary. She listened as the voice, definitely female, began to chant something that sounded like a prayer. It was... pretty. And rhymed. Thea felt better, once the bullet was gone, and she looked up at the woman, only a little older that her,. "Thank you," she said quietly, and reached for the bullet with a gloved hand. She wasn't going to leave anything that could reveal her identity around. Blood and DNA? One of the biggest. Then she laughed quietly. "Scars.... really aren't an issue," Thea responded. "I'm slowly getting a collection."

Luna smiled at the woman who thanked her her help. Even though she was kneeling, Luna still bowed a little, bending at her hip with her hands placed delicately on the floor in front of her. "It is my honor to help."

When Luna sat back upright the world started to spin a little. For as powerful as her magic was, the backlash she took every time she used to was getting worse. This time wasn't so bad, but bullet wounds weren't exactly her prevue either. Her magic was meant for curing the Starscourge, not acting as a field medic. It added up. One day, she wouldn't be able to hide it anymore.

"I admire your strength, but your body won't last if you don't take care of it." Luna said, her tone gentle and without judgement. It was a statement.

Since the woman wasn't really in any state to move at the moment, Luna settled down on the pavement next to her. She summoned a bottle of water from her armiger, a trick she learned from Noctis. Luna offered the bottle to the hooded stranger. "If I may, what is it that you do that places a target on your back?"

Wow, this lady was pretty. Really, really pretty. Oh, and that was the blood loss. She was kind, too, and spoke with an odd formality to her tone that made it sound like she was one of the people from the medieval era. It was odd, and Thea repressed a laugh at the totally non-judgemental statement. "I was going to," she replied, the laugh she repressed coming out in her tone. "I've dealt with bullet wounds before." But with a team. Never alone. Stitching up bullet wounds alone was new.

Thea laughed then, at Luna's question. "I beat up people who want to hurt other people. I'm licensed, by the way," she replied, because that was not something that she wanted to deal with. Being shot was bad enough. "Vigilantism isn't something that happens without risks. What about you? Do you just walk around healing injured people?"

"I hardly call amassing a collection of scars as taking care of your body," Luna chided with a gentle smile. For as light as their tone was, Luna couldn't deny the seriousness of the matter. This women put herself in enough danger on a regular enough basis that getting shot was not big deal to her. Dealing with bullet wounds on a regular occasions was not something one should do alone. How she managed to find such trouble was beyond Luna. Pandora wasn't even at war.

"Ah, that explains it then." Luna sighed. A vigilante. That explained a lot, actually.

The vigilante had no idea just how accurate her question was. "Actually, yes. I used to travel great distances in my world to heal people. Although, my travels in Pandora are not nearly as extensive. My name is Lunafreya, I work at Pandora Hosptial as a healer. I can help take you there if need be. Some stitches might help to prevent the wound from re-opening while it's still healing."

Thea shrugged as best she could. "You say potato, I say oww," she replied flippantly. She didn't go out with the aim of collecting scars. In fact, the less scars the better. But sometimes they were unavoidable. Some of them would be avoidable if she had a team, but oh well. The few people that she trusted here had chosen a different life, something that she didn't blame them for. But ever since she had started this, Thea had felt... good. Like she was making a difference, making up for her fathers' sins. It had felt rigt. Even in Pandora, when she had nothing to prove to nobody but herself, it felt right.

So yeah, scars were acceptable, if annoying.

A wandering healer? Interesting. Magic really was useful, even if it still felt slightly odd to Thea. But still, she couldn't deny that that was a noble thing to do with your life, even if she shook her head at Lunafreya's offer. "I can stitch it up," Thea replied. "Thank you for helping me, though."

She's as bad as Noctis. Luna thought with a shake of her head. There wasn't much Luna could do about it though. She didn't know the woman. Trying to push the matter wouldn't get her very far at all. If her mysterious hooded stranger chose to continue running around as a vigilante, then that was her prerogative. At least Luna was able to help her in this instance. Hopefully, she wouldn't require the same kind of help in the future.

Luna got to her feet, brushing off the front of her dress as best she could. It was going to need a wash. Pryna and Umbra approached, each stepping to one side of Luna and glancing up at the Oracle. Pryna leaned against Luna, whimpering a little. Sure enough, a fresh wave of pain and nausea hit Luna, the price she paid for using her magic. Her eyes slid shut and she took a steadying breath. No. It's fine. She couldn't handle this.

When Luna opened her eyes, it was a mask of polite pleasantry. "It was my honor. Do you need anything else? Water? Help getting home?"

Thea frowned to herself as she watched the woman... hurt. Weaken, maybe? The healing was great, 100%, but if there were side effects like that, Thea probably would've preferred that she not push herself that hard. "Are you okay?" she asked worriedly, pushing herself to her feet. The dogs were clearly doing... something, which was good. Something to help, but Thea still worried. Then the woman seemed to switch on a dime, suddenly okay. It was clearly forced, but Thea wasn't really in a position to help, and she knew that. So instead she smiled back.

"Thank you for your help," Thea replied, voice distorted and changed, but still clearly sincere. "I'll be okay from here." She smiled. "I only hope that that also applies to you."

No. Luna was not okay. She hadn't been okay for a while and every time she used her powers it would only get worse. Luna knew this. Yet she continued to use her magic freely. She wasn't about to stand aside knowing she could help. That wasn't her. Not as an Oracle, a Princess, or a person. Luna would have rather died a thousand times over than not do anything. The vigilante was likely the same way. Even though they pushed themselves to their breaking point, neither one would relent.

"I'm fine." Luna said with a smile.

The vigilante refused the hospital, not that Luna was really surprised. Luna bowed deeply at the waist to the woman. "Thank you for your help as well. I'll be fine. Pryna, Umbra, come. Let's head back." The dogs barked and turned with Luna to head back along their previous path.

Well, that was fake. Thea didn't argue, though. It wasn't really her place. If Lunafreya (an odd but pretty name) didn't want her to pry, she wouldn't. Besides, she had a bullet wound to stitch....most girls probably learnt how to drive a car from their father. She learnt how to fix bullet wounds, and break bones. Probably more helpful, if not normal. Thea just bowed her head in response, the etiquette coming naturally, if surprisingly. Thea hadn't realised that any of that stuff had stuck around after Ollie's disappearance.

She'd have to keep an eye out for that woman, especially if her magic was harmful to her. Thea owed her now, and she wasn't going to forget that.

    Oh yeah, bullet wound.
