    Three kills would be good. But two kills was enough. She didn't know if it was mercy or spite. Whatever the reason, she arched down and hoisted the man who was twice her size up on her shoulder. He struggled of course. They always do. She didn't understand why. If they went out that gate or on that hook or dead by her hands it didn't matter. They would still end up back at the campfire with their friends. She'd throw herself on the hook every trial if she had that kind of deal. She felt him stop squirming once they passed a hook and he could tell where she was taking him. No words were spoken as she dropped his body like a sack of potatoes at the gate.

    She watched him as he crawled toward the fog. It was strange what little things change from trial to trial. Had that man at the gate not been such a chicken shit then she wouldn't have thought twice about putting this man on the hook. Another night it might not matter to her that he did and would have killed him anyway. If there was a pattern to when and if she showed mercy than she wasn't seeing it. She sighed and leaned her blade on her sleeve as she hoped this little act of kindness didn't hurt her relationship with the entity. That's when she saw black inky tentacles rise up from the ground. No, no no! I'll kill him. I'll kill him!!! She pleaded mentally unable to do more than scream and cry as she thought she was being pulled into the void. Instead, she was brought to Pandora by a different entity.

    ~~~
    I'll kill him! I'll kill him!! She pleaded mentally as she felt like she was being ripped apart while being pulled into the ground. This was it. She must have displeased the entity one too many times and that last escape was the last straw. Then she felt the bright light shine on her brighter than any of the flashlights she's experienced before. She could breathe again and felt the ground beneath her feet. She couldn't focus on that. Or anything. She cried out and held her arms over her eyes trying to block the light but it felt so overwhelming. As if her sight would never return and this was all there was now.
    Logan continued his trek through the wastes, he’d explored most of it now, avoided the part full of sand worms and other dangerous areas but he’d been able to learn the lay of the land. He still wore his blue and yellow costume under his duster since he didn’t want to waste time trading for new clothes when he could just get essentials. Three nights of wandering though had come up with almost nothing. He was looking for just a little salvage he could turn in but was mostly finding stuff not worth scavenging in its state. He heard the screams before he saw her, he was sprinting towards the sound, not even hazarding a guess as to what was happening. The Wastes held plenty of issues and he stepped in on most of the ones he found. He pulled up his cowl and leaped a few rocks to spot the source of the screams. And he didn’t know what the fuck he was looking at. It was human, definitely humanor at least was supposed to be, but the mask, the screaming at nothing but the sun, the blood and the unabomber hoodie we’re sending some bad signals. So while he still approached he did so with his claws out.
    He pulled off his duster and got ready to throw it on her to cover block out some of the light. “Hey! You!”
    Why was it so bright, she didn't hear the sound of clicking from flashlights or the normal sounds that she'd grown so used to. Just bright light and pain. It wasn't exactly the void she was expecting and maybe that was the point. That disappointing the entity meant getting sent to a place of endless suffering. That's when she heard footsteps, even the breathing of someone approaching. A survivor? The knife in her hand went on Alert as she covered her eyes with her other arm. There was a chance it could be another killer. It happened before but was rare. She'd see another killer wandering in the fog. Some just hung out with her in silence just for some company. While others would treat her like a survivor. She never knew what to expect in the fog.
    She stopped her crying when she heard a voice. Hey you. This made her take a few steps back in confusion. Was that a survivor. She'd hear them talk before, whispers in the dark. Boy have that gotten bold. She tried to turn her back from the sound hoping she was looking away from whatever flashlight they were using. She responded with a growl that sounded like some kind of wildcat, followed by a pained, "NNnnnn..ARRAAGH UCK!." She couldn't fight them like this, so just stood there with her back to them hoping they left her alone in her pain.
    Logan kept getting closer, if the lady was trying to say anything it wasn't coming out right so Logan just approached cautiously, not like she could do much to him, even with his height capping at five foot three he was still over three hundred pounds with his added metal bones. He stepped closer until he was able to throw the duster on top of her. "Now calm down now! Light's out!" Logan kept his distance, he'd seen rages before and he knew he coulda just made things ten times worse, but until he got something to properly cover her eyes that was the best he could do. He sat down in front of her and tried to coax her down as well. "Easy there, come on, come on." His claws were pressing against the outer layer of skin, ready to pop out if she came at him but he didn't want to have to put her down so he was debating just trying to knock her out and carry her back to town where she could maybe see a doctor. Not that he saw any wounds, just blood.
    And it sure didn't smell like her's. "Don't go doin' anything stupid now kid." This was almost like trying to coax down Laura, but with Laura he ended up stabbed multiple times in the gut.
    As he moved closer she could hear his heart beating, it was slower than she was expecting. Most survivors even the most experienced still had heartbeats like jackrabbits when they got this close to her. Calm down, she heard him say. Was he really trying to help her? It didn't make any sense, NO one helped her. Maybe the entity did in its own way. After the trials, she could feel herself getting stronger. She wasn't feeling that right now though. If anything she felt more alone than she did in the fog.
    He was actually bigger than her but not by much she was only five foot two and had a slim slender build. She felt the sudden duster drape over her and the bright light dimmed greatly but she still couldn't see. Oh no, what if the survivor found a way of getting revenge. It wasn't too long ago that she saw the trapper chained with a syringe in his back. Were they going to do that to her, and she'd lose what humanity she had left and been nothing but the killing machine the Entity wants. Not her! Not without a fight! The frenzy started she bounced back and she looked around but couldn't see his heartbeat even with her Frenzy.
    Confused she swiped out at the air making feral angry screams with each swipe just trying to keeping whoever was around her from touching her. Oh, no this was Vigo wasn't it. It wouldn't be hard for him to avoid her swipes by just staying put in front of her. She was faster than a human was capable but wasn't very trained so it was all instinctual. He could make out a dim red light shining from within the coat from her eyes. It was a little dimmer and darker in color than a stoplight. As she swiped and defended herself it didn't seem to last long she tired out and listened for him trying to see what he was trying to do or if there was more.
    After her Frenzy she could see, well she could see that she was under a coat but could see other details like sand beneath her feet. He was still trying to calm her down and that's when she noticed something. She reached up under the coat and could feel the mask sliding a little and she gave it a gentle nudge and could feel it loosen and push up. She could take the mask off. Fumbling with one hand and confusion the mask fell to her feet. Her whimpering pained sounds had stopped as she was just heavy panting. She collapsed to her knees and sat on the ground using the coat to block the sunlight. In a hoarse voice, she attempted to do something she couldn't do for a very long time, speak " Vigo?"
    Logan just sat and watched her as she had her little freak out, not that he could blame her, girl looked and smelled like hell so he let her get it out of her system. When he saw the mask drop he took that as a good sign. Her voice was hoarse but he could make out the words. Although without context he had no idea what they really meant. He pulled out his canteen and placed it withing her range of sight under the duster. He highly doubted she had been any proper food or water wherever she came from. "No darlin' my name's Logan, I just found ya here. Um, you may not be where you think you are, this place, it takes people you're safeish, it's got it's dangers but it's not like a fight to survive sort of deal." Logan left out the whole just survived the Apocalypse part of the deal. He just keept a respectful distance and tried to be a calming presence. He slowly moved his hands towards her. "Alright kid just one quick question can I lift this up, just a bit to get a look at your face to see if you're alright?"
    He didn't wanna suddenly blind her but he had to make sure she was alright.
    She flinched when the canteen was dropped and the reflection from the sun surprised her. She moved the duster to cover it and looked at the item reaching down to pick it up but her hand trembled a little when it grazed the mask. It was really off of her. She pulled the canteen up but her eyes stayed on the mask as it was like it was calling to her in pulsating whispers. Seeing her own reflection in the canteen helped to ground her and she looked at the warped distorted reflection of herself. Her makeup was a mess, her mascara was just streaks and streaks from tears she could never wipe away. " I'm...monster.." She uttered softly in that sickly voice.
    She turned the canteen and heard the sloshing of liquid inside. The sound made her realize that she hadn't been able to eat or drink for quite a while that she wasn't even sure if she could drink. For a moment she forgot Logan was even there and she twisted the top off and took a cautious sip. The sudden water made her throat feel like razors and she immediately started coughing violently. It also helped to alert her that she needed water and without thinking about it started to chug it greedily. Stopping only to gasp and cough from the pain.
    She became aware of Logan again as he spoke. It sounded like he had come here from the same place she did, she wondered what side he was on. If the side even mattered now. It would if he knew what she was there. Compared to the other killers she was small and easily able to make survivors think she was one of them for a little while.
    Then he wanted to lift the duster and she hesitated, her death grip on the handle of her knife felt like it was burning but she was ready. If he lifted it and saw her for what she was and killed her, she honestly didn't feel like it would be a bad thing. She'd deserve it after all, and she was so very tired. She put the knife on the ground and let go of it but her fingers cramped up and held the shape. She pushed it away from her so it was at least 5 feet from her. She couldn't trust herself not to strike him with it the moment she saw his face. Then she nodded, " a little." She still clinched her eyes closed to prepare herself.
    Logan carefully lifted the duster just enough to catch a glimpse of her face, streaked with filth like he thought it would be. One hand rested on the mask and he slid it away a little as he got a look at her. No obvious mutations and she didn't smell like a mutant but she did smell off. Something weird about her but he couldn't place it. With an exhale he shook his head, what the hell had happened to this girl, she looked like some reject from an all girls Lord of the Flies remake. "You poor thing." He gently tried to coax her into standing, wanting to try and get her to a shaded area so she wouldn't have to deal with so much sun but he also knew that would be quite the walk and he wasn't sure if she had it in her. "How about we find some place that won't hurt ya. Can ya walk? I can help ya if not." He took the canteen back, not wanting her to hurt herself anymore, he'd give her more when they were able to keep her from tearing her throat apart guzzling it down too fast. This was worse than a rabid Laura, that you could calm down and then deal with but this kid could go off any second.
    "Hey what's yer name, do you remember?"
    She felt the weight lift and her whole body tensed up not trying to hide but wound like a spring ready to launch and defend herself. Her breathing was rapid and it was taking all the self-control she could muster the ignore the buzzing of the entity in her whispering for her to kill. This close she could hear his heartbeat, it was slower than what she was used to. Normally it was heartbeats as fast and rabid as injured bunnies. This was more calming, she listened to the beats letting her head nod slowing to the rhythm. She started to relax in it.
    Since he had better than average hearing, he could easily hear own heartbeat which pounded louder than a standard human and was more like a drum even when she has relaxed it sounded like it was racing. He'd easily be under the impression an average person this close could hear it as clearly.
    When he coaxed her to walk she thought that was a good idea, staying here felt like trying to heal under a hook. She felt like it could find her if she stayed here. Her hands were too weak to resist the canteen from being taken but she didn't mind but wanted more. She just hoped she wouldn't throw up what she just drank and was trying to keep it down. Her rhythmic nodding became more definitive as she answered his question and she stood up. If he wasn't here she wouldn't have had the adrenaline to keep going and would have slept right at the spot, as it would be the first time she slept in a long looong time.
    Her eyes opened when she was surprised by the question, she remembered her name and without much hesitation, she spoke her voice a little less gritty from the water, " Legion.." That caught her off guard. "I am.. Legion.." she tried again but shook her head. This time taking some time to answer letting herself remember how to form the words, "Jah-... Julie." she managed at last her eyes watery. Her light blue eyes met with his and with pain and rage and defiance of whatever entity damned her, through gritted teeth" I am..Julie! I am... I am Julie." Each time feeling more separated from the binds that held her for so long.
    She then would walk away with him. She had another concern on her mind and decided to ask him, " Does... Does the light..go off?"
    "Julie." Logan nodded and kept his hands on the edges of his jacket as he tried to find a place to get out of the sunlight. "Okay Julie just come with me, we'll get you out of the light until sundown." Logan didn't know where he'd take her at first, he had to find a cave maybe one that let enough light in for them to still see but not that it was hurting her. "Just a few more hours and you should be fine. Come on keep up." The walk felt longer than it probably was. An outcropping of rocks and a nice little place for them to squeeze in out of the sun, he helped her towards the back and tried to gently coax her to sit down. He didn't know if letting her sleep was a good idea or if it would be better to keep her up and try and get her barrings. His duster would stay on her for the time being just in case she needed the extra comfort blanket. "Alright Julie don't worry about the light, it's not gonna touch in here and it's already getting late" Logan sat down in front of her. Giving her space but staying close enough to be a calming presence.
    "Want more water? It's alright, I can share as much as you need."
