Canon Point: Arriving into Sweetwater on the train (S1E1)

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

Formally in the Army and then taking jobs as a bounty hunter Teddy has a variety of skills:

-Teddy is an exceptional shot with a six shooter, shotgun and rifle and the basic maintenance and repair thereof.
-Can ride a horse and drive a wagon, knows the care of horses, and repair of tack.
-Tracking, trapping, hunting, butchering/skinning, tanning, firemaking, foraging, and cooking over an open fire are common skills for his time period and profession.
-Can read and write (not entirely common in his 'time') as well as dance, swim and gamble. He also has the standard subroutine of paramedic care in case of visitor injury, but he doesn't know he has this training if asked.
-Learned to ride an 'iron horse' AKA a motorcycle since his arrival. Is learning to make repairs and upkeep.

Special Abilities-Teddy can die a thousand times, but doesn't really stay dead.
-Deadeye shot with the weapons above, as his internal mechanisms calculate for him leaving little to no margin of error.
-Direction sense. Teddy has a very hard time getting 'lost', even when he wants to.

EquipmentGuns: Colt .45, Winchester .44 Rifle, Winchester six shot shotgun .10 gauge (and holsters for each)
Other: Hunting knife and shealth, fire starting kit, shaving kit, bedroll, snare kit, motorcycle repair book and small toolbox with gun cleaning and motorcycle tools in it that fits in the bikes compartment.
Motorcycle: The Pandora equivalent to a 1950's Triumph Bonneville

    WEAKNESSES

-Teddy has an outer surface which, when damaged, bleeds and burns just as does human flesh, though it doesn't get infected. These wounds would have to be sewn or cauterized shut because he has no innate healing properties.
-His memory of his own past is faulty (at best) and false (at worst).
-He can be influenced by a certain array of voice commands such as "Look back and smile at perils past" which revives him from a death state or when he 'thinks' he is too injured to go on. If that phrase is not spoke he will auto-wake in three days try to return to Sweetwater. (This is not canon, but something I added for ease of play.)
-Every time he wakes from death he will be disoriented, expecting to find himself on the train. It will take a little time for him to remember where he actually is.
-Being a good Samaritan is part of his core programming, unless he's already on a quest helping someone, he will try to aid them. This 'help' can range from picking up something they've dropped, a sexual liaison, or hunting down the person who killed their dog. His own health and well being are not as important as the person he is helping. Generally he will only accept one major task at a time however, so if he is already on a mission he won't commit to another unless they can easily run concurrently. (He is not gullible though, and if it seems a trap, he will act accordingly.)
-If a human being hits on him, he will respond in kind, regardless of gender, unless on a mission. His programing doesn't include non humans, and he will politely refuse prostitutes who ask him to pay for services.

    PERSONALITY

Teddy isn't what you call a deep thinker, but he is polite, kind, brave, romantic, chivalrous and gallant. He suffers from good Samaritan syndrome, and will always come to the aid of others, even at his own peril. He firmly believes the strong should protect the weak, and law breakers should be punished. While not a masochist he doesn't mind pain if the reason for it is noble.

He suffers from memory loss if questioned too deeply about his past. He can remember he fought in the war, but is unclear if it was the Civil War, Mexican-American War, or Spanish-American war, though all are in the general timeline he appears to be from. He can remember he was sweet on a girl named Dolores when he was a boy in Sweetwater, and a few instances of things they did, but not the name of their teacher or other students. He is a man of action, and prefers doing to thinking anyway.

    BRIEF HISTORY

Teddy believes he is from the late 1800's, that his hometown is Sweetwater, AZ, and that he currently works as a bounty hunter as after the war he was too restless to settle down but now he's thinking about it, and so was headed back home to look up old friends and start the next phase of his life. Maybe become a lawman, since that suits his skills better than farming.

His true history is that he's a construct made to fulfill the needs and wants of visitors in a Wild West themed immersive theme park. Specifically, he is a 'white hat' character that the 'black hat' visitors can attack, or he can assist 'white hat' visitors on their quests. He's died a thousand times, reset to his starting point, and started over again. Each time his memory has been scrubbed of the recent past, so he thinks that he's just arriving in town anew.

    One Morning

The deed was done, the bounty collected, and Teddy Flood found himself feeling old and sore after the last dust up with the outlaws he'd been chasing. Sitting at the bar of the hotel he'd landed in he looked around at the men he'd been riding with for the last week or so; hard men, grizzled by sun and experiences, and occupying themselves with card games, drink, and hired women. They had no wives to comfort them, no home fires to sit before, no friends who didn't live the same hard life they did.

Looking into the amber liquid of his own glass he could see that bleak wasteland of a future stretching out before him; making money the hard way, spending it too fast, too fast to catch his breath and then taking another job.

It was a bleak life, with a grim end. Sooner or later he'd be too slow, or make a mistake, or worse, an enemy who would hunt him down and kill him when he was in a place like this when his guard was down. Or, and this thought was like a burst of sunshine through cut glass, he could go home to Sweetwater, find a girl, and settle down on the plot of land his parents left him. He wondered if the girl he'd been sweet on, Dolores, was married yet. Probably, her father had a big spread and she had hair like cornsilk and an outlook on life as pretty as her smile.

He packed up his carpet bag and sold the nag he'd been riding to catch the train back to Sweetwater. The gentle clacking and rocking of the train lulled him to sleep, and for the first time in a long time he felt he was moving in the right direction.

When he opened his eyes next though, instead of on the train he found himself sitting on the ground, his back against a tree and looking on a town he didn't at all recognize.
