It was maybe nearly... two weeks since Shiro had left? He, unlike the first, had every intention of returning and with his ex as well. He'd made a promise to his youngest sibling, Pidge, to be as safe as possible and to return with their lost family member. But promises were hard to keep, and Shiro didn't have his handy, giant mechanical lion with him to travel so things were a little on the slower side. He probably needed the time, and whilst he certainly didn't have the head space thanks to Red and Black, their respective lions hammering away at him night and day, urging him to find the other paladin, it meant he didn't have to guiltily look at the faces of those he had failed to protect day in and day out.

So he'd found himself in colder weather, glad to have heeded a stranger's suggestions and to wear some warmer clothing. But it felt like it barely made a difference whenever the wind would pick up over the snow. Tugging the hood of his cloak a little tighter around his face, the man's tufts of white hair stuck out from under his hood as he trudged through the snow, finally coming into the safety of Morhall and out of the harsh conditions of Mt. Pompeii's unforgiving weather and conditions.

Sighing softly, he tugged down his hood and glanced around whilst he walked. He had followed the little walkways around and found a tiny town there, wondering how many people lived here as he assumed there really couldn't be that many in all honesty. With his tired eyes, Shiro glanced about the place some more, buying himself some rolls of bread from one of the little market-like stores, raising the food to his mouth now and then as he walked and tried thinking of who he should contact first.

Leaders seemed like a good idea.

Or the next best thing to that. He'd been in Cascade Bay so long he realised now he hadn't really left much until he'd come here seeking Keith. He'd asked for directions where he should find such people when the shop vendor had glanced up and pointed to a couple not far away. Well Shiro hadn't been expecting them to be out and about doing their rounds or something of the sort. Clearing his throat, he quickly finished off his food, thanked the vendor and then headed over to the strangers, knowing he was running out of leads and hope as he asked these people with dwindling hope that they had come across Keith.

"Hello there, I'm sorry to disturb you but I was told to come speak to you both as leaders of Morhall? My name is Takashi Shirogane, and I'm in grave need of your help." Holding his robotic arm out, it was an offer of his hand for a handshake, Shiro looking between the man and woman and wondering who should be the first to respond to him now. He might have been exhausted, he might have been run down and more than a little... done, and that could show plainly on his honest face, but he couldn't give in.

    Not yet.

It was not often Roy got to wander around Morhall with Riza during work hours, usually they were stuck in their crudely made offices and the many meetings between various people so Roy had decided to enjoy this rare moment of pleasure wandering around the town with Riza. He was even thinking maybe at the end of the day he might even be able to walk home with her today, so long as no sudden meeting drew her away from him. After the previous week of not talking he barely wanted to leave her side, not that he made it obvious that when she was not around his heart ached. He was not the type of person to expose himself so easily, he hid behind a brooding or smirking mask far to well for anyone but those who knew him well to be able to see what was really going on. Right that moment Riza was speaking to a local and Roy was acting like he was browsing the locals stall, when in fact he was quietly listening in case the matter required his input though he doubted it would. His instincts told him someone was approaching and with the art of a trained solider he looked about them without giving away that he was looking about them.

His dark, brown gaze spotting the being who was approaching, casually he straightened flashing a smile towards the stall owner's children who were behind behind the stall while their parent spoke to Hawkeye. He turned his body so that he was facing away from the stall and subtly watched the strangers approach, not fairly quickly he was not a local but either a visitor or a new arrival. His dark, brown gaze gave no clue to what he was thinking as the man got closer, but he took in the guy's height as well as how obviously muscled he was despite the winter clothing, his shaggy hair, his gaunt look and found himself instantly recognising the look on the guys face. He has the dead eyes of a man who has either suffered to much or discovered the realities of the world... His mind whispered to him, the casual mask like smirk on his face shifted to the usual unreadable expression of brooding as the stranger final reached them and announced themselves.

He glanced at Hawkeye, she still had the stall owner to finish dealing with so it looked like this one was on him, at least until she could shake the guy off. So stepping forwards he accepted the man's offered hand without blinking an eye about the fact it was metal as he spoke up"In grave need of our help is it? I suppose I can lend an ear... And Miss Hawkeye will as well when she is ready... I am Roy Mustang, the current Praetor of Morhall." He paused glancing towards Riza before indicating for Shiro to follow him saying in a tone that brokered no room for arguments "Walk with me Mr Shirogane, we'll go sit at that table over there, maybe grab a coffee en-route while we wait for Miss Hawkeye to finish up and then you can inform us of the situation.."

Even as he said the words about coffee he paused at a coffee stand and ordered three coffee's. One of which once made he thrust into Shiro's hand, before handing over the cash with a friendly smile and then carrying the two remaining coffees over to the table he'd indicated earlier. The coffees now deposited on the table he indicated for Shiro to sit, before sliding into a seat at the table himself and sipping his hot drink, with one sip he had already decided it was alright coffee but nothing compared to Hawkeye's coffee.

Even if it was more duty than leisure that had Riza walking with Roy through the various tunnels and checking on this and that she had to admit it was a pleasure. They'd had their spat and come out on the other side of it closer than ever, and even if she wasn't glowing outwardly she did inside and with the little things that showed through. Every look she sent his way was happy and affectionate, every word was tempered with more love and humor and even if it was a disagreement she was careful to keep in mind that she didn't need to worry about hiding things anymore.

For now there was a stall owner to talk to, something about one of the water lines running slower and making it more difficult to process their grain on the water wheel they ran. A valid concern, and she was going over interim solutions to hold the business over until the line could be cleared while Roy saw to this and that in another place. All in all it wasn't a hard talk so much as a lengthy one, and as she glanced over again she saw him addressing a young man with a metal arm- though not the one she might have expected otherwise, obviously. The younger ones seemed to be in a rush, worry creasing his face, and for a moment Riza almost stepped over to see to it- but the Praetor had it in hand, and she gave him a nod before turning back to her own work.

After all, this was well enough in hand, and she'd be over shortly. Better to get this done and not leave one of the citizens of this place with a difficulty that would only compound with time. Besides, she had a feeling that Mustang was securing the coffee, which would be a blessing after all of this cold, damp conversation.
