A patch of the beach far from Cascade Bay and far from Pandora Town had seemed a suitable place to land his ship and do an impromptu training session, so he had set marked out a ring. Where he had stuck one of the old Centurion robots he had stolen during the reign of queen Ravenna, he'd reprogrammed it to a lower setting and given Anna the task of trying to knock the robot from the ring. The robot would give the woman a good fight though, being twice her side and near indestructible as well as armed with an electric rod which would give a nasty shock if it connected with the woman. To beat the robot she'd have to use her brain and outwit it rather than just throw herself at it. It provided Boba with the chance to simply watch and give pointers as well as to idly go through things on his HUD and he found himself sat on the ramp of the Slave 4 as he watched.

Noting Anna's focus was entirely on the robot his eyes rolled behind his T-shaped visor before quick as lightening he pulled out a small blaster which shot practise bolts which would burn if struck by them unless one was in protective clothing. Without even thinking about it he suddenly shot at the woman, aiming for her feet and legs, for it seemed it was time for another reminder that one could not just focus on the Centurion but also had to be aware of their surroundings. She had to be able to get the Centurion out of the ring and avoid being killed by someone else because when it came to a real battle it was so rarely one on one.

Anna had been excited to know that they were travelling to somewhere where there would be a sea, the woman having not had the right time to really get to appreciate it much. Though knowing her mentor, she wouldn't be getting the time to appreciate it much here either. That was fine, he was doing as promise and helping her learn how to be better, taking more steps towards her goal of bringing down the monster who still haunted her nightmares. The princess had watched Boba getting the ring set up, listening to him quietly when he spoke about the only way he was going to consider her winning was if she got the giant robot out of the ring.

She'd been given light armour by the man, grateful considering it did much more than the clothes she had arrived with ever would. But it was an adjustment, getting used to something like that hugging her body and learning how to move with it so she wouldn't get caught out. Boba was watching from a good distance, probably multitasking as the princess had come to realise he didn't quite well, almost annoyingly well.

With her the blaster she'd been gifted a little while ago on one of her hips, Anna had opted for unsheathing her Beskad blade for now. The dagger, since she'd been given it, always felt... right in her hands. She'd learned to swap it between hands and even been given a second to learn to fight with, but right now, she preferred the weight of just one whilst she circled the Centurion. She didn't like the look of the electric rod that seemed to fizzle with a hunger to make contact, something Anna had managed to keep out of the range of for now.

But whilst wondering just how much damage her dagger could do to the armour, the Centurion had swiped at her legs, the woman rolling out of the way and around to the back of the beast. She'd grabbed hold of one of its shoulders and used it as a kind of help to lift herself up high enough when she jumped, swiping the dagger across the back of the beings neck. Anna was taught some weak spots not that long ago, and she was hoping this thing's neck would be one of them, but it was no use. Instead Anna found herself being grabbed over the Centurion's shoulder and tossed down in front of it on the ground, the woman landing with a grunt on her back.

She wasn't quick enough to roll away from the rod this time and a small cry left her as she was shocked, that making her kick into gear as she rolled away from the robot's foot, stomping into the sand and causing a spray where she'd been laying a moment before. Anna placed her free hand over the spot on the armour where she'd been shocked, using the distraction of the sand and about to try dive the Beskad dagger into the Centurion's throat this time, perhaps mess up some cables. But that was until Boba had decided she wasn't doing good enough.

Boba was actually shooting at her? With her back turned? With her trust that he was simply watching and continuing to point out where she needed to improve? This was not the kind of sparring the princess was used to. Where was the honour? Did trust mean nothing? A small shriek came from the princess as one of the blaster shots had skimmed the side of her calf, causing her to see red more intensely than she had before. Angered and feeling betrayed, something inside of the very pent up and stressed Anna snapped to the point she seemed almost unrecognisable.

The pain in her leg was a reminder that all the men in her life so far had ended up the same. Forcing her to extremes and whilst she'd asked for help this time, she didn't think help included trusting someone and being shot at when your back was turned. Shooting a glare up at the man where he was, Anna turned back to the Centurion which was now rearing to go again, the princess now pulling out her blaster and shooting the robot in the face several times, tossing the gun onto the sand where it could cool down.

Next she pulled the Beskad blade out again, charging at the robot and ducking under the swipe of its rod, skidding against the sand before she swiped her own leg at its feet, making it topple over. With a few slashes of the blade she had managed to detach the Centurion's hand with its rod, kicking it away before she glanced over her shoulder, watching Boba for a second to see if he should shoot at her once more. In her rage, Anna moved herself around to kneel behind the sparking robot's head and shoulders, shunting its torso up like a shield between her and Boba.

But her anger still showed, she hadn't dropped her blade and instead as she was filled with enough anger to even stab the robot in the back, multiple times whilst its arms flailed around a little to try and stop the woman.
"Don't you dare turn on me!" Anna half screamed at the robot as if it were its fault. The princess then took out her second blade, and whilst the Centurion seemed to have given in the fight for now, circuits screwed up and moments away from shutting down, it wasn't enough for her. So instead she crossed the blades over and in a swiping motion, had severed the robot's head from its shoulders, the princess picking it up and leaving the Beskad knives driven into what remained of the being's torso.

Tossing the head out of the circle, Anna walked away from it all for now. The Centurion left well and truly broken, her blades, the armour she wore peeled off piece by piece whilst she headed over to the sea, limping now with her calf giving her some grief for the hit Boba's blaster had gotten in on her. She didn't realise it now herself, but her display of anger and rage was perhaps enough to scare grown men, maybe not someone like Boba who had seen so much, but definitely others who wouldn't expect such a thing from the princess, now left sitting on the sand and trying to calm down.

Her reaction when being shot at suddenly was not one he had expected, she did not adujst herself, but simply let her rage take her and he knew it that though it was effective the rage she exhibited was not under control which in a real fight could lead to mistakes, which would lead to death. He kept the gun in his hand as he watched her take her frustration out on the poor centurion robot, making it as good as scrap metal. His head tilted when she shot him a look, his helmet hiding his unimpressed look but he said nothing, waiting for her to finish and finish she did. All while screaming at the centurion to not turn on her and Boba had a feeling the words that she threw at the centurion were actually meant for him, the bounty hunter rolled his brown eyes, before holstering the blaster.

He let the woman go once she'd tossed the head out of the circle, he rose off the boarding ramp of his ship, moving towards the scrap metal and eyed her handiwork, it wasn't bad other than the fact it had wasted on of his useful tool not that he cared particularly he had a few more. He nudged the Centurion with his foot before sighing and turning away, heading after his student. Reaching her as she reached the ocean, he stayed on the beach, as she soothed the burn in the ocean, his head tilted as he eyed the young woman before he spoke"You let your rage control you..." His tone was flat, unimpressed and then he went on, voice still unimpressed, cold"It was pathetic.. As well as stupid of you and doing as you just did will get you killed on a real battlefield... It may briefly intimidate an opponent but anyone worth anything will just laugh at you before using your own rage against you to kill you.."

Boba saw no point in being kind, he was a hard task master and his brutal honesty, as well as his often sharp opinions sometimes made him appear cold, unkind, uncaring. Often these things were true, he had been in the business of bounty hunting long enough to of become the cold, hard man everyone thought he was. Though hidden deep within his armour clad chest there was a heart, an iron cold hard to break into heart, but it was there and right now all he was doing was trying to teach Anna how to stay alive.

She knew the lecture was coming. But it didn't mean she was any more ready to be hearing it, especially when she felt so temperamental for the time being. So Anna sat there as the waves washed up and against her burned skin just beneath her trouser leg, something she took her knife to and rolled the fabric up to allow for the waters to try and sooth the ache there.

Perhaps the most annoying thing was she knew he was right. The way she had fought just now rarely ever paid off and it often didn't end with good results either. Boba also frustrated her with how he sounded like all the other men in her life, hiding their worry for her behind the need to keep her safe but not so much as letting an ounce of that worry, that care seep into their tone.

"I can't even tell you that you don't understand how I feel." The princess didn't know a lot about the man, not everything at least for he had his own secrets to be keeping, but she knew a man like that hadn't just had a stroll through life either.
"I know I fought with anger and no control. I know I'm losing control." Anna looked out to the sea as she spoke, thinking it wasn't fair how one of the times she got to see it, to be near it, was when she was failing her mentor.

She doubted Boba wanted apologies either, she was sure he'd prefer just seeing the results of her doing better and not slipping into darkness. But it was so hard. She felt angered to be alone doing this now, that her brother had forsaken her before she'd even been dragged into Pandora and now the monster that prowls at night was even here.

When would she complete this foul quest?

"There's so much anger inside of me. All of it I'd like to say for one man, but I hold so much contempt for the men in my life, Teacher. I can't control it on my own." She hated to sound weak or beat down, but Anna was at the end of her rope or coming very quickly and dangerously close to the end of it. Finally she turned to look at the man not too far off, her eyes settling on him as she looked a strange mix of a lost child and rampant warrior looking for peace after just one kill in the end.

Her response was not in anyway a happy response, nor did he ever perceive to think it would be as he watched her let the ocean wash over the burn on her leg. Her words came then, he sensed annoyance in the, but also exhaustion as if she was exhausted by the anger that ate away at her and he said nothing. The ever present, but ever silent man in full armour, watching, waiting, listening as she spoke first of how she could not tell him he could not understand before going on to tell him she knew she had done wrong, that she had lost control.

She made no apologies for it, which Boba supposed he was glad for after all he needed no apologies, for what use were they. What he needed was for her to stop pitying herself, to get up, to not control her anger but to hone it, to let it make her more lethal. He still didn't speak and so she was speaking again, gaze distant as she stared out over the ocean. Boba's head tilted slightly and behind the helmet his deep, brown gaze became for a moment, curious before the emotions faded. Silence fell following her words and he eyed her, examining her closely before turning his gaze away from her to look out to sea. The silence stretched on, but he was comfortable in it, he had never been one for many words and yet he had a feeling she was expecting something from him.

So after a long moment he spoke, his voice the same cold tone as ever"Anger is a tool, you don't need to control it for it to be effective.... But you do need to hone it... Make use of it, don't let it use you..." He spoke of one who had done so himself when he was young and inexperienced, hunting first Sing, then Mace Windu his father's killer. He'd got so close to it to, before the sith had got in the way and prevented him achieving his vengeance. Then quite casually he spoke again"Sometimes our greatest flaw is the inability to admit we need help, you say you cannot get to grips with your anger alone, so tell me... What are you going to do about it? Sit here drowning in your own pity?"

"No." Anna responded perhaps a little bit too quickly, shaking her head in response before she pushed herself up from where she sat, limping just slightly but not enough to stop her from turning to her mentor. She was disappointed if he ever thought she was just going to be here like this, to wallow in self-pity and do nothing more about it. The princess had come a long way since she had been brought here, since she had met Boba, and she was going to continue to grow stronger and grow and grow until there was nothing but pride and good work she could find. But... Anna would give it to him about the weakness of being unable to ask for help.

Inhaling deeply, Anna looked down to her hands before she turned her face back to the ocean her feet remained under the cool touch of it, trying her best to find the words she needed to.
"I've met someone who... who could really help. He's even offered to meet yo and to take me up on tutoring." Was now a good time to mention the man wasn't exactly... the kind of person she thought he'd like? Probably not. But there was only one thing she could do for Boba, to be honest with him from beginning to end as she believed it was really the least he deserved for being so kind to her.

"Boba- Boba I don't think this world knows the meaning of 'normal' and so he himself is not normal. He possesses qualities and abilities, ones that you might not be the most... accepting of. But please- Please he can help me." It meant the world to her to get Boba's permission, or rather, his acknowledgements of his student trying to do more and to help herself - those things were important to her, Anna needed to hear he as at least willing to try.
"It doesn't have to be right now, but please. Please meet him with me?"

She was quick to protest his words, rising painfully to her feet, his HUD showed him this so he did not have to turn his head to see her, he kept the T shaped slit in his helmet focused out to see as she turned her attention to him. He could see her eyes running over her armoured form as she remained with the ocean washing over her feet and then her gaze went back out to sea as she spoke. Her words sounded uneven, as if she were not sure of what she was saying or perhaps it was that she was not sure on how he would react. The Mandalorian gave her nothing as she started, didn't move, didn't change his posture and did not speak, waiting for the but he knew was likely coming.

She was pausing, he wondered if she'd brave enough to bring up the but without a push from him and when she did the tiniest smiles playing out beneath his helmet, as ever she knew better than to hide the truth, she also displayed the courage he had first seen in her when they were under fire in a car park in Pandora Town. Despite himself he felt proud of the young woman, even as her words drew out only a wariness from him as he went on. The way she was speaking was like she was trying to use every word in her vocabulary but magic, super powered, force, the words he was not keen on hearing and his pride for her moved to the back of his mind. Being replaced by a cold, hardness and now she was saying please a lot, begging him, he supposed he had been quiet for awhile now.

So slowly he turned his helmet to look at her, his voice came out smooth and cold, no emotion to it"You dance around a topic like a child plays with their food... Just say it, say the man has powers." There was no clue to what he was thinking, to what he was feeling in his voice or body language, but hidden within his head his mind was racing. Had she been approached by a force user? If so when and how? But driving the force of these thoughts was the central one of who? Which was what drove him to ask, still without giving any sign of what was going on behind his helmet "What is this man's name? This mysterious man who can help you?"

The woman wasn't sure if his calculated and stoic silence was better or worse considering how she was feeling, nervous, anxious, like she was teetering on the edge of a high cliff and it would take nothing more than a gentle nudge to send her tumbling.
"I dance around the topic because you're a stubborn old goat. And if I don't approach topics carefully, show you I've thought about them, then you shut down and won't hear any more about it. Am I wrong?" Anna asked, raising an eyebrow at him even if she had nothing but a visor and its reflection to be looking into. She'd grown used to it, sure, but sometimes it would have been nice to speak properly to Boba, face to face with the man who had taken her under his wing for some some months now.

"His name is Geralt and he is what they call a 'Witcher'. He looks like an ordinary man, mostly, but he's stronger, quicker and I've only seen a couple of the things he can do." If Anna sounded like she admired the man then that was correct because she did, a lot. He had an aura she couldn't even begin to explain if she wanted to, something that left you wanting to know more but the princess was interested in one thing the most - what he had to offer her in training.
"He seemed reluctant to want to even help me at all. To train me- But something made him give it a thought and now he must meet you, Boba."

Silence fell among the two as the waves washed up against her ankles again, reaching the bottom of her calves as the tide was coming in bit by bit it seemed. She stood her ground though, having no regrets about a damn thing, least of all calling Boba a stubborn old goat. Maybe he'd throw her away now, tell her to do as she pleased but if she did go then he would ban her from ever coming back, maybe even go out of his way to avoid Anna and any possible meetings they'd have in the future. If that's what Boba would decide on doing, then Anna would just have to prove how stubborn she was in return.

She was staring into his visor, unblinking, un-intimidated and he was once again secretly proud of her, he'd hate to be mentoring someone who was afraid of him beyond a casual wariness. But then she was speaking and hidden behind his T shaped visor his eyebrows raised, she was fiercely defending how she tended to tiptoe around him. Boba wasn't offended by her words, after all the words he'd had thrown at him over the years stubborn, old goat was nothing and she wasn't wrong, though it wasn't like he shut her down fiercely when she started speaking of topics he was not inclined to want to talk about. It was more he chose to stop responding, silence was something he was all to familiar with, he loved the silence and he was good at keeping it when he needed too.

He didn't respond, neither agreeing or disagreeing with her words, there was no point arguing on something which was not the actual topic he wanted to focus on. He simply stood there, waiting for her to answer his question and finally she did, her voice got a strange edge to it like the people of his own galaxy got to their voice when they spoke of the jedi. It caused Boba to grimace behind the mask, suddenly disgusted, but he still listened taking in the words she spoke. Geralt was not a name he recognised but that didn''t mean he wasn't a force user he'd not heard of so within his helmets HUD he was already researching the man and the term 'Witcher'. He said nothing still, not giving away anything as she went on, the fact the guy was reluctant to teach her both pleased him and made him wary. He was pleased because selfishly he wanted the guy nowhere near her, he was wary because that suggested that the training he would do with her was likely dangerous or that by training her in her powers would create some kind of new threat. She was waiting for him to speak, he could see it in her eyes she wanted some answer from him.

The fire was there too, she was set on this and he had a feeling she would go whether he gave his blessing or not. There was something else there in her eyes, something which gave him pause, an expectation of some kind and he was fairly sure it was not a happy expectation. After a moment he sighed before saying"I am not happy about this idea, but if you believe this is what you need to do to help yourself out of this hole then I will not stand in your way." He had to do right by her and in that moment he was pushing aside his own suffering, his own pain, his own biases to help her keep moving forwards. Then casually he was saying"Give me your arm and I'll help you to the ship so we can put some bacta on that burn." He hoped to avoid the question of him meeting the powered being, he hoped to move past it and let it be forgotten until it was to late.

    Had she heard him right?

Was Boba, the stubborn old goat, really agreeing to her suggestion? It made the princess smile after a moment, not for the permission she had received, but rather that he seemed willing enough to help her progress that he encouraged her to do something he clearly didn't feel as comfortable about. A smile spread across the princess's face before she could even try and train her emotions, Boba would just have to deal with seeing her be so happy for once. The woman was reminded of her wound when he mentioned helping her get some ointment on it, the woman reaching out for her mentor before she leaned against him a little bit, trusting the man to help her.

"But you're going to meet him. Aren't you?" She asked, Anna knowing, hoping, that deep down he would never feel really all that comfortable unless he himself met first hand the person that was to be taking his current mentor on the next part of her journey. Leaning her weight against him, Anna hobbled up onto the ship by his side, though if she were being honest, the elation from Boba's response had almost made the pain of the burn forgettable. Almost. Once inside she thanked him quietly, taking a seat and bending over just a little, looking down at her leg before she leaned back, figuring her mentor would be off finding the bacta.

"It doesn't have to be a long meeting, Boba. I just want you to meet him, and your somewhat unbiased opinion." That was a bit of a stretch considering how Anna had noticed how the man took to such people with powers. But Anna meant it in terms of he didn't have the blinding need to become stronger like she did, that he could tell that this man was the real deal for himself, and not someone that was just out to harm Anna. The princess looked towards Boba quietly, watching him expectantly and wondering how much he would agree to things before he would inevitably tell her no and try toss her from his life.

She was smiling at him, the Mandalorian was not entirely sure what to make of her joy, except to let it happen in the hope it would keep her thoughts off of making him meet the mysterious powered being. Unfortunately his silence didn't work, even as he helped the young woman hobble towards his ship, she was already asking if he'd meet the man. He gave her no answer, acting as if he was focusing all his attention on getting her up the beach to where he could apply some bacta to her injury. But behind his helmet his face was not pleased, a coldness clung to his gaze, an anger to his expression. She couldn't see that though, thankfully and Boba gave no clues to what he was thinking or feeling other than the silence. Finally he had Anna moved up the beach, sat on a crate just beyond the crafts boarding ramp and it was there he left her as he went to get the bacta.

When he returned she started speaking again, telling him it did not need to be a long meeting, that she just wanted him to meet him, to get his opinion. Boba grimaced behind his mask, not responding as he tore open the bacta gel pack and applied it to the wound, wrapping it around her leg, watching as the gel immediately began to work. Still he said nothing, the master of silence and continued to watch the gel ointment work beneath the plastic plaster which held it to the wound. After a moment he pulled away, straightening out and via his gauntlet commanded the droids back upon the ship with the equipment that was outside. Then he was looking to Anna saying"Every war... Every fight... Is caused by someone with powers, every single war in history... And then its the rest of the galaxy that suffers for the powered beings actions." His voice was cold, almost unfriendly as he went on, a hand raising to point at her"And you want me to meet with one of these people, possibly fall under the influence of said being just so you can get my impression of him?"

his hand dropped as he went on with his voice not dropping from its unfriendly, cold tone for a single second"I'm not going to stop you from doing what you feel you need to do, but there is no way in all the galaxies I am going to interact with another one of them unless it involves a lot of money..." He was already planning how he was going to need to begin cutting ties to his student once she began to play with her powers and was surprised to find the thought of doing so physically hurt within his chest. For a brief moment his thoughts went to how he'd left things with Sintas and the feeling in his chest increased for a few seconds before he clamped down on the feeling, shoving it far into the depths out of mind. No sign of his brief turmoil showed for the young woman to see, he was to practised at hiding his pain until he needed to use it. He didn't even turn away from Anna as someone who was suffering in a normal fashion might have, no he stood at full height above her, completely unreadable other than the words he'd spoken.

"No." Anna suddenly said, allowing the man to see to her wound though she didn't make a sound or gesture to it, instead solely focused on her mentor. He had some hated for people with powers, she'd known that for a while since she'd begun spending as much time with him as she had done. His prejudice and biased was strong and the princess had no doubt they were well placed, a small part of her liking to think he was generally worried about her as well, but it wasn't going to stop her from correcting him.
"I don't care for your impression of him. I've made mine and I rely on my instincts. I want something else from you, Boba. Something no one else can give me."

Stubborn to the core, Boba made it known he would not be meeting with Geralt as he not so subtly hinted as to the only reason he would is to kill one of them and for some high some of money too. At least that's what Anna got from his words. Wishing the man would take off the helmet and meet her gaze properly, Anna ignored that nagging sensation in the back of her mind instead and met his tall stance and gaze at her, standing up on her own feet again despite her minor injury that seemed to cause her barely any problems whilst she was so adamant she be listened to.

"You took me on as an apprentice for many reasons I'm sure, some secret that I'll probably never know but the one I cling onto is the reason being you saw something inside of me. A brave young woman, a fire that refuses to go out, a kindred spirit of someone who has lost everything and fights to survive- whatever it is, you saw something in me no one else has." Knowing Boba would likely hate the contact, Anna decided to ignore her better judgement as she reached for his hand, armoured she didn't care, holding it in her own whilst she bowed her head and spoke up.

"I don't need your take on this man. I don't really need permission, but I do want something very important to me, Boba." With the man having fast become something of a father figure or even a rather grumpy uncle to Anna, she had grown fond and attached of him and his stony ways as she found there was some odd charm in them on their own too. So she was sentimental and emotional over Boba, sue her, he was the last person she was going to let be taken from her life now she had lost so much. Though he had his secrets the princess knew he must have his reasons and her stubborn self staying by his side for this long must have meant something to him, she hoped, but now she needed something else.

"No... I want none of those things. What I need is your blessing for this."
