During the last two weeks, Pandopolis City suffered multiple homicides, with the same, reoccurring pattern: The victims were turned into petrified statutes and the surrounding area covered in a particularly persistent layer of ash. Only last night, a witness found another body at the train station in Midcourt, as she went to check on a small fire that had broken out on platform 1 in the middle of the night. This is the fifth murder with that pattern, the sixth, if you count a similar incident in Ark City, back in April. Back then, authorities believed the incident to be of magical nature, now forensics question whether or not the damage done wasn't of a scientific nature, which leads them to believe the attacker might possess metaphysical powers that can change the structure, state and density of human cells, actively petrifying their victims – The Petrifier doesn't seem to have a type, though: None of the victims have any ties to each other, nor are they similar in different ways. Whatever the case, citizens are, again, urged to remain vigilant and avoid lonely, dark places at night. For any valuable information, please contact your nearest police station.
