    @Greed

Troubled places attracted troublemakers... or was it the other way around? Lately, Harley had been hearing a lot of strange rumours about the quaint island with the sandy beaches and since her appetite for destruction tended to spike up when the cold begun settlin' in, it didn't take long for her to decide to pay a visit to the famous Cascade Bay.

The trip from Pandora town was long and often borin', but when she arrived at the village, the smile returned on her face as the she felt the rays of the sun and the light ocean breeze. She could do without the stench of fish, though what did she really expect comin' in a island? At least the sun was shinin'.

She walked around for quite some time, pickin' up sea shells, wavin' at animals, askin' people about the fires (she had heard somethin' about Cascade Bay burnin' down by their tiger overlord but now she wasn't too sure), shoppin' necklaces with starfishes and tastin' five different ice cream flavours when her feet brought her to the Bay's pub. Now that felt like home what with its wicked name and choices of alcohol, though Harley had been to places with wicked names that were run by angels.

Marketin' ploys and the like, but even if that were true, it wouldn't stop her from goin' inside. Good fellas could be amusin' too. Sometimes more so than bad apples.

So she stepped inside, poppin' her chewgum as she made her way towards the bar. She made a sight to be seen, with her shorts, stockings and lack of T-shirt; instead she wore a bikini top and a jacket and her hair were dyed blue and red. It probably seemed more normal than her usual harlequin costume, Harley didn't know and didn't care.

There were some muscled boys in the pub that Harley could guess what they did for a livin'(and if they didn't, then it was such a waste) and locals that could be identified by the smell of sea and their striped clothes and pirate hats. But the place was preetty neat and resemblin' nothin' like the dumps one found in Gotham, orBlackhaven. Harley was gonna order a cocktail, be all classy.

'Heyyy bartender!' she said with a singin' voice and wore a cutesy smile. 'I'm torn between a Black Russian and Sex on the Beach.' she said, strugglin' to keep herself from burstin' into laughter, but she managed to hold it, for now. 'Can ya help a customer out?' she then asked innocently. In the pocket of her pants though, the shape of a gun was visible if anyone looked closely enough.

"Dragons huh? Never thought I'd be in a place where they actually exist."

An usual day in the Devil's Nest meant that Greed was chatting with one or more of his henchmen while serving drinks and stuff, although at the current moment he was idly cleaning one of the glasses with a rag as he spoke.

This one was a young mage, a pretty scrawny looking guy who had a more modern attire than you would expect from mages from stories, the most distinguishable aspect of him being a blue cape he wore. He was a pretty scrawny guy, definitely not someone who would be winning many fistfights, not that you would expect him to considering he could use magic.

"Yeah, some people keep dragons as pets or use them as materials for potions, spells, things like that." The mage explained, stopping for a moment to chug down some of his drink. "You could make a good amount of money by selling that stuff or-"

The door opened and Greed's glanced to see who was coming in, his eyes briefly going wide once he noticed the... unique appearance of the woman who just came in. Provocative didn't even begin to describe it and there was no way she wasn't aware of it. Even if she was acting all cutesy and innocent when she came to the counter to ask him for help deciding on a drink. That innocent act quickly falling apart as she could barely say the name of the second drink without laughing Greed didn't mind though, in fact, he was more than happy to humor this lady.

"Sex on the beach is pretty great, I recommend it." He answered with a smirk on his face, glancing at the mage he was talking with earlier just in time to see the dude roll his eyes but being unable to hide a smile of his own as he began drinking again.

This was fun already, as Harley had an appreciation for types of fellas who would humour her and play along instead of bein' judgy or sleazy. What gal didn't? She flashed a smile, then and she took her time to notice the man behind the bar and the real piece of fashion work that he was. Not the typical eye patch sailor she expected to find in Cascade Bay, but she enjoyed surprises more than most and she found cliches to be borin'. So she leaned to the counter, watchin' the fella with obvious interest. 'Sweet! I'll have two. For starters.' she said in a serious tone, but there was obviously a comedic tone to her certainty. It was a rare talent.

'That's a neat place ya have here, capo. First place I found on Cascade Bay that doesn't stink like fish.' she added and made a face at the reminder of anythin' piscatorial. Born and raised in New York and later movin' in Gotham, Harley didn't have much of a relationship with the sea and never cared for any, except from watchin' it from a distance. Then, outta nowhere, she turned towards the man next to her who was bein' all too obvious with his facial expressions and offered her hand. He stared at it for ages before takin' it. 'Harley Quinn, nice to meet ya!' she said enthusiastically and the man caved, only to retreat his hand immediately with a pained expression on his face. 'Oh, I'm sorry I had forgotten about that!' Harley said in surprise, but she did not look regretful at all when she removed a nail from her glove. At least the guy would not be rollin' his eyes anymore at her, or doin' anythin' to make her angry. He was lucky she hadn't decided to shoot him.

But she did not want to stain the nice bartender's counter, so Harley focused all of her attention on him, with an eager expression. Whether it was because of the anticipation of the drinks or anythin' else, one could not say. Sometimes not even Harley herself knew what was goin' on inside her mind.

Two huh right out the gate, huh? This lady sounded like the type of person who could drink quite a bit and probably wasn't the type to get drunk very easily. Maybe he was wrong, who knows? Either way, he couldn't help himself but laugh at the comment about how everything in the bay smelled like fish.

"Yeah, I try to keep the place clean and fish-free."

He went to look for the bottle of the brand she wanted but he was still within hearing distance to hear the small exchange that happened between the lady and the mage. By the time he came back with the bottle, he only saw the man cursing under his breath as he tended to his hurt hand while the lady revealed that she had a nail in her glove. Normally he wouldn't want anyone hurting his men, but this was such a harmless little prank that he couldn't really muster the will to do something about it. It would heal eventually anyway.

"Pretty, but dangerous, I like it." He commented, glancing at her "work" and chuckling as he poured three glasses of the drink, two for the lady and one for himself. "You look like a fun person to be around, you new here at the bay?

Oh wow, what a charmer this fella was! Complimenting her would get him everywhere, because Harley was a sucker for people who treated her as nicely, what with havin' so many experiences with the exact opposite behavior. Well, now.. Puddin' could be sweet when he wanted to, but it was a rare occasion. Which was why it meant so much to Harley. But she had missed bein' around folks who behaved nice... because it was who they were!

'Brand new and ready for action!' she said cheerfully. 'I'm from the city, but life can get really hectic there ya know? There comes a time where a gal's tired of runnin' around causin' a mess only to bein' chased by the John Law after.' she said, with obvious frustration in her voice. She did not mind one bit talkin' about her criminal exploits out in the public, because, well, what would the people of the fish village do anyway? The way it was in this crazy place, every little piece of land occupied by people had their own laws and generally they didn't want others poking their noises to their affairs. It reminded Harley of the cowboy films, but she understood the idea of it; Gotham valued its independence too, at least from outsiders.

'It seems so much more peaceful here! And the people are much nicer and the view is definitely an improvement!' Harley said as she downed her drink and got ready for the second. Even the drinks were better than the beer served in Blackhaven's bars that Harley was certain did not come from barley but something way more yucky. Based on that alone she could understand why people would prefer to live closer to nature. Her mind could not help but think of Ivy and how they had never gone on a vacation at the ocean together.

Wow. Harley was pretty open about the fact that she was a criminal. Maybe it was just the atmosphere, but something told Greed that she just didn't give a damn about people knowing about her criminal status. That was something he could respect and so he found himself getting more interested in her the more she spoke.

"Not the most law-abiding citizen out here I see." Greed laughed as he poured another glass for Harley. "Haven't been around Pandora Town myself yet. I'm planning on taking a little trip there one of these days to take a look at how the big city is. How's life there? Lots of trouble to get yourself into?"

It was just small talk, but Greed was a little curious to know what kind of life Harley led. From the sounds of it she was someone that seeked out and attracted trouble, but what kind of trouble were they talking about? Was it just your standard criminal activity like robbing a bank, or was this the crazy type of trouble? Because just from what what he could see of Harley so far, she sure looked like a wild lady.

'What gave me away?' she teased at his statement, assumin' her most innocent expression. He was in no hurry to call the coppers, as it seemed, or to at least throw her out, so Harley was ensured she was in a good, fun company. His tone hadn't even sounded judgmental, which proved to her that she had come to the right place with the right owner, or the wrong one dependin' on perceptions. Hers was just a teeny tiny skewed.

'Oh it sure is wild. Ya got, let's seeee... Yar ordinary fellas next to yar children of dracula and dungeons and dragons wizards and yar blue coppers next to yar super powered rescue workers and yar bats for brains bullies. And then there are the robot freedom fighters who want to change the world, the secret clubs of medieval men who want to control it, the crime lord squid that's looking to make a dishonest livin', the usual stuff...' Harley narrated, tryin' to summarize life in the concrete jungle. Honestly, she was barely scratchin' the surface of it all, but the night was young and she didn't want to give it all away. Better leave some surprises for later.

It helped that Pandora Town was so looney that she did not have to make anythin' up.

Harley began going on and on about all the weird that happened in Pandora Town and it was bizarre enough that even Greed was raising an eyebrow at it. Cascade Bay had it’s fair share of strange things as well, probably more than he knew of given he was still relatively new to the place, but Pandora Town sounded like something else entirely.

"Sounds like a pretty fun place. Maybe I’ll take some time off and go on a vacation there for a few weeks. Think it’s enough to get a feel for the place?"
He asked her as if she was some kind of tour guide, which she might as well have been. It would be good information to have in mind for later if nothing else.

She raised an eyebrow at his question, her expression turnin' just a little bit mischievous. 'Sure is! 'Course it depends on whatcha mean. Few weeks is enough to meet aaall the big fish and maybe catch one or two. Takin' the place of the King Shark might require a liil more huntin' and bitin'.' she said cheerfully, her eyes sparking with excitement as she described the underbelly of the town usin' those.. aquatic metaphors that seemed fittin' in a place like Cascade Bay. Truth was, Harley had her own turf to play with in Pandora Town that was generally preeetty friendly, but the truth was that she was lookin' to expand, if only because she was tired of the domination the blood suckers and the hairies had over most of the traditional freaks.

'I can always lend a helpin' hand... Unless ya prefer hooks, I don't know how those'd look on me.' she added in the same playful tone. Truth was she was a terrible swimmer, which was a major reason why the pirate life had never appealed to her. Nevermind that she'd be gettin' seasick every day and that wasn't a pretty sight. But she could see why someone would be choosin' Cascade Bay as their playfield and be doin' well for themselves, as opposed to the crazy fightings that happened in the bigger towns. It was certainly smart and she liked smart, makin' more all too eager to help the man out.
