    SKILLS & ABILITIES

While Zelda's main skills lie in more magical areas, she's not defenseless without it. She is able to use a rapier and a bow. She may not be a master swordsman or an expert marksman, but she can hold her own. Coupling these skills with her magic, however, make her a force to be reckoned with. She can infuse both her rapier and her bow with light and use it to strike down her foes with extreme prejudice.

The position of Princess lends itself to a life of political intrigue and everything that entails. Growing up in the Royal Family, Zelda learned how to maneuver and protect herself from rivals and is quite capable of solving most of her problems without the need of force if such an option exists. She is calm, intelligent, and she has intuition when it comes to dealing with other people.

Special AbilitiesBeing the seventh sage and wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom, Zelda has access to unique magical abilities in the light. Whether it's creating blasts of pure energy, manifesting weapons out of thin air, or protecting herself from dark magic, Zelda is extremely capable where, by contrast, she is not as physically strong.

EquipmentZelda's prized possession is her rapier. Meant to be a state symbol more than anything, Zelda is more than capable of using it to dispatch foes in a pinch, though fighting is never the first thought to come to her.

    WEAKNESSES

Zelda is strong, but she's only mortal. She can still be killed, whether it's by sickness or something else. If she's stabbed through the heart or cut a thousand times, she will die. You get the idea.

She is also not an unstoppable force with her magic. Every time she uses it, she drains some of her energy. After a while, with extended use, she will get tired and need to rest and recuperate. The bigger the magical punch a spell packs, the quicker it tires her out.

    PERSONALITY

Zelda is unerringly kind to those who deserve her kindness and a terror for those who she considers her enemy. While she may not be the most physically strong, she doesn't fear the strength of others. She always has a plan to deal with certain situations, though occasionally those plans don't pan out. She tries to be prepared regardless and is willing to do just about anything to make sure a plan succeeds.

Zelda cares deeply for people. While in Hyrule, she regularly thought of her people and not just herself and is willing to make great sacrifices in order to keep them safe, even if it may eventually cost her life.

She is a clever and capable strategist, able to formulate plans that most may not initially think of. However, she is not unwilling to listen to advisers and what have you for advice or potentially better options. It never hurts to be too sure.

Though she does work for the good of others, she is not easily trusting. It can take a while before she's willing to divulge even the most basic of information, if not even her name if she doesn't wish to be known. Once earned, Zelda's trust and loyalty is almost unwavering. That's not to say she becomes blind, however. Trust earned can be lost as well.

    ROLEPLAY SAMPLE

The last thing Zelda remembered was the wolf staring her down in one of the tallest towers in Hyrule Castle. Link. Somehow he had been mutated by the Twilight and changed into a beast, though that didn't seem to hamper his abilities or ingenuity in the slightest. She was somewhat surprised to see him, though she thought she hid that surprise well, stilling her thoughts and emotions, schooling herself to serenity as she always had as the Princess of Hyrule.

Only their meeting had been cut short. The vines came for her, black and mysterious. She didn't know where they had come from or where they were taking her, but as she descended into the ground, she could only stare helplessly at the wolf and pray that he would find a way to help her, to help Hyrule. That was what she wanted more than anything.

And then she woke up and couldn't breathe.

Exhaling let out a stream of bubbles. Her eyes flitted open and she blinked. The cold pressed in around her like icy daggers digging at her skin. She wanted to scream, but managed to stop herself before inhaling water. She was underwater. Goddesses! Looking around briefly, Zelda hurried upward toward the surface, through the inky black water, hoping she could hold her breath long enough to submerge.

As she swam, she felt something tug at her. She stopped, whirling around in time to catch sight of the massive creature as it wrapped a long tentacle around her waist and started pulling her through the water. She struggled against its grip, but nothing she tried could wrench her free. Her air was running out quick. She could feel her head growing light, her heart pounding mercilessly against her chest. If she didn't find air soon, she was as good as dead.

Moments passed, and then moments more. No air came. Zelda couldn't hold it anymore. She inhaled water. Everything grew dim before blackness closed in around her.

What a lovely day this was.
