    March 22nd, Year 7

Her hands pulled the reins of the horse and the animal came immediately to a stop. The young woman jumped down, her feet landing on the sand. A calming breath entered her lungs as she took in the sight of the sea. She counted only two days in this world, yet, all the memories of Morgana swelled in her mind. Images from Camelot and Pandora blended together in a crazy dance.

A deep desire for vengeance had grown withing her heart and the young witch avoided any short of hesitation, ruthlessly turning against her enemies and even becoming cold towards to the ones she claimed to care about. However, she felt quite confident that her actions would lead to the downfall of those who would dare to oppose her. Free from the fears, she refused to forget or forgive.

The magic provided a clear advantage. She possessed enough strength along with the ability to protect herself. Nobody would dare to antagonize her and she had prepared to manipulate anyone who would distinguish the second version of Morgana. Although she shared identical features with a kinder lady, this young woman had completely different personality traits from the real person.

The sorceress’s dark brown hair looked almost black under the golden rays of the sun, half of the curls were pulled away from her face but still cascading past her shoulders and down to her waist. Her eyes in a combination of gray and green hues seemed nearly blue, mirroring the shades of the ocean. Her skin though had grown a little paler since the first day she had appeared on this world.

Unlike her usual choice of attires in bright tones, she had currently settled on a slightly different approach on her outfit. A darker one that nearly matched her emotions of anger and bitterness. The Lady of Camelot had chosen a floor-length black dress with flowing long sleeves made of lace and a cloak of same color which was dragging behind her feet while she walked across the beach.

Comics were her hobby and collecting them had been her goal. The cries of adventure still howled within the very core of her well being, for how could she settle and have a normal life after all the things she had been through? There was so much of this world to see and right now Ruby had been travelling across the land to see its riches and learn more about her future home, today the weather had become ideal for travel. Sadly the young huntress felt guilty, for she left the capital city without a word to either her uncle or big sister as she simply wanted to go out there and find the path to her future in Pandora. A backpack stood gently over her shoulders as it stood above the hood of her red cloak that remained short for this kind of weather, while her faithful friend Crescent Rose remained just behind her waist and slightly above the back end of the skirt. After quietly marching forwards she heard the sound of a horse! A curiosity got the better of her, she wrapped herself up in her cloak and rushed forwards using her semblance of speed as rose petals flowed behind her.

Soon Ruby appeared into the depths of a tree. Her eyes scanned the area until she came across a woman wearing clothes that represent the very darkness, the very void itself! Although Ruby didn’t quite understand why the girl looked serious, she did however admire the clothes she had worn. The cloak was a nice touch, but who was she to comment about fashion? Adventure was her calling and right now this woman seemed lonely! As the leaves ruffled slightly, rose petals fell slightly but gently around the beach as she landed behind the long cloaked woman. From there she called out with a smile to the stranger and spoke with a nervous look on her face.

“Uh hey there, dark and scary lady! Do you need some company or something? Heh Heh?”

In all honesty, Morgana had not expected to meet anyone because this part of the world was away from the main cities. On the other hand, she realized the weather had began to change and spring had already arrived. Therefore, more citizens would start to stroll around the area.

“Hello.” She answered politely. Frankly, no personal rivalry existed against the general population. Regular people tended to accept the rights of freedom and individuality, so she could not hold them responsible for crimes they had not committed. Although she envied the non-mages, still her hatred was solely directed towards those who would hurt a person using witchcraft as an excuse.

When the girl asked Morgana if she needed company, the Lady of Camelot pondered the suggestion for a long moment. The stranger definitely looked a little nervous, yet, the young sorceress was not overly comfortable either. However, she eventually decided to give the meeting a proper chance. “That is an offer I can not refuse.” Her words mismatched the slightly cold tone of her voice.

“My intention was not to scare anyone.” She admitted while her hand reached up and rested on the horse’s black mane in order to pet gently the animal. Her bright sky colored eyes focused on the magnificent stallion. “My sole purpose was to think how to rise a friend. He requires special care.” Then her attention returned to the girl and she noticed the backpack. “Are you traveling?”

Young Ruby couldn’t deny the call of adventure which remained in her heart. Sure her classes and teachings to become a full huntress had permanently stopped, but deep down the fires of heroism and bravery continued to burn as bright as the sun. Standing before her was a well dressed woman who looked like she had come from a funeral, for a moment she remained calm as the teenager gazed at the person in black. Soon the tense atmosphere around them soon disappeared due to a polite reply from the stranger which caused Ruby to relax a little bit as her muscles had been a bit tense, just in case the young woman was an enemy. Now though the huntress finally could relax, as her worries soon disappeared as though it had been unplugged from her body. As her hands gripped the straps of her backpack tightly, she no other reason to reach for Crescent rose, for the person showed signs that she was indeed friendly and not as scary as the teenager had first thought.

Quietly the girl in black and red listened and watched the person. Eventually the woman spoke with an air of generosity and sincerity in her voice, thankfully she allowed Ruby to keep her company which made the teenager sigh in relief. For a moment the girl decided whether or not she should take a few steps forward, but apparently her legs refused to move, it was as though an invisible grip of nervousness had wrapped its fingers around them. For now she kept an eye on the woman who tended to her horse as she spoke about a friend’s well being. A question soon appeared as Ruby quickly responded as the girl’s voice was filled with a combination of excitement and anxiety.

“Uh thanks! I’m sorry if I disturbed you. Yeah I just wanted to see what this weird world had to offer, you never know what’s out there. Um I’m sorry about your friend, will he or she be ok?”

For a moment Morgana felt a little confused due to the girl’s display of appreciation for the ongoing conversation and kindness. “No need for gratitude. Social interaction seems absolutely necessary in every civilized community. Rest assured, you did not disturb me.” The witch had visited the beach in order to think and meeting a person with experience of the land was an advantage.

Beyond doubt, the stranger made a good point because people usually failed to guess what lurked around each corner or turn of this world. Pandora remained a land filled with surprises and never-ending possibilities. In actuality, the evil version of the sorceress realized that her own existence represented the best example which could easily prove the aforementioned theory.

“Indeed, you are right.” She agreed. “Are you at the beginning of your journey or the end? If I may inquire.” The question came in the same courteous manner but when the girl asked about Morgana’s friend, the face of a wizard started to take shape in her mind. The doppleganger’s intention about the Mage’s Guild would disturb the peace in her twin’s life over the following days.

In all honesty, she had carefully excluded the good version of herself from her plans. Moreover, she did not wish to create a conflict between people who practiced the art. The main goal focused on making them understand their true place. They were meant for greatness and nothing could stand in the way. Not even a mentor. “Hopefully a harmless solution shall be reached soon.”

Time is split up into three different sections. The past, present and future which governs our way of life, yet it can mean different things on other worlds. Right at this very moment, Ruby Rose lived in the present and yet had no idea about the past of our reality. Standing before her was a young woman that once lived in the medieval period during the past timeline, which meant that both the past and present were meeting for the first time. At first Ruby had a hard time understanding the woman who wore a rather unusual get up, the cloak was a nice touch but still just who was this person? Why did she speak in a rather posh yet strange way? All this and more began to move around the young huntress’s head as she calmly listened to the girl’s words with a smile. For a moment the girl pondered whether it was still ok to take some steps forward, but then she realised something.

During the many months being away from Yang in her world, she forgot one basic thing….She had been moving forwards since saying goodbye her distraught big sis. When Morgana had finished speaking, Ruby moved forwards. Her eyes sparkled with emotion, but her face burned with desire, and soon a question came her way in regards to her travels. Indeed her journey had only just begun….This whole new world was gigantic! It would probably take a few months to see all the sights and for her to think about the future. Deep down the teenager felt a bit confused as to what this person was saying, still there was no harm in asking! After tightening her hands on her backpack straps, the young Ruby smiled at Morgana with a confused look and said.

“Well I still got a long way to go, this whole place is so big. It’s a bummer that we can’t go back home though. But what about you? Are you ok? Do you wanna talk to about it?”

The evil Morgana searched her mind, trying to recall the towns and places her kind self had visited. Images flashed before her bright blue eyes but she concluded that the real Lady of Camelot had not traveled enough. “If it it such a vast place, perhaps I should follow your example.”

“The majority of the people residing here desire a quick return to their own realms mostly because of the loved ones who are left behind.” Unfortunately, the comment did not apply for the malicious sorceress. Betrayed by those she had once called family or friends, she had no one left to stay loyal to. The only reason she wanted to discover a path back to her homeland was vengeance.

However, the doppelganger had already rejected the option of lingering on the unfulfilled ambitions of a different world. Instead, she concentrated on the endless possibilities lying ahead of her in Pandora. “Since the choice rests beyond our grasp, focusing on the present offers a new perspective.” Her words had a deeper meaning than merely moving on the conversation.

In actuality, she was planning to follow her own advice. Memories made her strong but certain ideas about the future helped her grow. Moreover, sharing her thoughts with the woman in front of her was not the result of faith or the complete absence of caution. “On occasion discussing with a stranger seems easier, nearly effortless.” She admitted with any hint of reluctance vanishing.

“It’s complicated.” She avoided a direct answer. Explaining the existence of a good version of herself gave the impression of an impossible task along with her intentions to stand against the enemies of magic. Therefore, she settled on an entirely different approach. “Problem always resolve as long as a person displays the will to do so. Though some decisions are quite difficult.”
