    Everyone's Fault

A devastating earthquake tears Pandora apart-- both socially and physically. Amidst the chaos, fear, and rubble, do you work with your fellow citizens to repair structures and relationships, or do you take advantage of the misfortune to rise above the rest?

((I think it would be interesting to write about experiencing and recovering from such a massive natural disaster, and it would be a good opportunity to literally shake things up in Pandora. It could provide a lot of opportunities for change. Perhaps a group of like-minded people would band together and create their own government, while others try to rebuild the order that they had before. Perhaps the fault-line physically separates a piece of the land from the rest, and a new location is born. Families separated, people killed, etc. Just an idea.))

    Mirror Image

A mysterious magic has crept into certain mirrors around Pandora. Not every mirror has been infected, but some people may experience a little more than just their image reflected if they're unlucky enough to look into the right one. Just as words and letters appear flipped in the mirror, they'll suddenly find that their personality has been flipped as well! Were you a nasty villain with a habit of kicking puppies? Now you may find yourself wanting to volunteer at a rescue shelter and protect every innocent creature you come across. Were you shy, reclusive, and felt like everyone was judging you? Be ready to have your inhibitions disappear and become Pandora's newest party animal! Were you Pandora's greatest hero with the power to save anyone who needed saving. I hope Pandora's ready for a new super villain...

Long story short, magic mirrors have appeared around Pandora and make the personality of whoever looks into the opposite of whatever it was before. The duration of the effects might vary from person to person, either lasting a few minutes, a few days, or even a few months. It could lead to confused friends and families, personal revelations that might come from hating or even liking the person you become under the effects, or even be as extreme as someone doing something completely against themselves and having to deal with the consequences after. Whatever happens, people under the mirror's influence will experience a totally reverse side of themselves they've never experienced before. Let the shenanigans ensue...

(Also, this plot totally isn't ripped off from that one boomerang episode of "Ed, Edd, n Eddy" where the boomerang swaps everyone's personalities. Nope. Not at all.)

    FINAL COUNTDOWN

Shamelessly stealing the image from that one movie, on the first day of summer citizens all over Pandora woke up with a mysterious countdown on their forearm (foretentacle, foreleg, forewing, forewhatever) in various luminescence colours. Despite endless rumours that range from the end of Pandora to returning home to meeting their soulmate to even fulfilling some sort of destiny, no one knows what it is countdowning to exactly as the seconds tick by, but what they do know is that not everyone's countdown is the same. Stranger still are the countdowns citizens swear have reportedly stopped or counted up without any reason before starting to count back down once again.

    The Hunger Game Drug

One day someone releases a drug into the air, that spreads throughout the whole box, putting everyone asleep. The problem is: They all dream the same dream, and nobody can willingly wake up.

Inside this dream, everyone will think, Pandora has always been a land where a kind of Hunger Games were held - their memories twisted and manipulated, they won't remember anything of their time here before, that doesn't match up with the Hunger Game reality. The games themselves are different than the original ones, forcing every character to fight to their death, because winning is the goal. It doesn't matter that it makes no sense, time-line wise, or logically. The drug takes care of that.

What wouldn't change, is the fact, that there would be groups flocking together, lone wolves, and people who try to cheat the system, by either running away or somehow stopping the government.

Who dies inside the dream, wakes up to the real Pandora, with people sleeping everywhere. Maybe they would pray for their loved ones to literally come back from the war, even if it's a dreamt war; but others would surely use the unattanded shops and buildings to their advantage. An idea would be, that they're somehow unable to kill any dreamer though.

What appears to be weeks for the dreamer, could actually be just days in real life, and whoever released the drug would make sure, the dreaming ones stay asleep, to test the limits of it. Once awoken, the medication stops working though. The awoken aren't meeting the drug tester's physical or psychological wanted standards, after all, so why keep trying?

The dream would end, when the winner is crowned, at the end of the season.

The illusions would fade, but the memories stay, causing the society to shift, as they would accuse each other of not having their back in real life either, or killing some important person in the dream, which could mean they want to kill them outside of the dream too, or other things.

    A New Perspective

((Pretty picture is pretty, though not exactly fitting for site-wide plot suggestion.))

Something inexplicable happens in Pandora (or to certain individuals) that causes non-magic users to temporarily obtain a type of magic, magicians to temporarily become ordinary and powerless, superheroes to become ordinary citizens and ordinary citizens to become gifted with powers. Supernatural conditions such as vampirism and lycanthropy might also be included in the list of abilities that are redistributed. Perhaps certain individuals trade abilities and lack thereof with each other, and either have to find a way to restore proper ownership of the ability by working together or wait until the effect ends.

I think this would be interesting to put some characters out of their comfort zones and provide new conflicts and struggles for them to deal with. How much do current mages, heroes, and supernatural creatures rely on their power? What would they do without it? Would they appreciate their gift more once it returned? Would non-magic users, ordinary citizens, and non-supernatural creatures become more understanding or more hateful towards their gifted brethren?

    Fear Itself

An enchanted object is cursed to reveal the worst fears of everyone that comes into contact with it. If it is a painting (very Ghostbusters, I know) anyone who got within a certain distance would hallucinate, for lack of a better term, what they fear the most.

It's a bit like a Bogart, but it has more potential. Say, if someone's worst fear was a giant dog eating their child, they would see another person as the dog and potentially try to harm or kill that perfectly innocent person to stop them. If someone feared a certain person, they might think their coworker is that person and freak or attack them.

It would be better if the object moved around in order to effect people in all sorts of places, so it could be a piece or pieces of jewelry or something that gets traded, sold, etc.

An object to contact means not everyone will have to participate but can if they want to.

    Endless possibilities.

    Home, What Happened

Everyone of Pandora's citizens were taken from their home worlds, weather it was at a crital moment in their worlds history or a simple casual one. Maybe they were a minor character in that worlds history or they were a major driving force in the world's dynamic. Only they can answer that or maybe they can't, however it's certain that many if not all of Pandora wonders what their world is like now that they're gone.

With that in mind, a lone and powerful being passing by the strange planetoid gets their interest peaked. They sense that the people are majorly homesick and worry for their world, so using its vast power it looks into the many worlds of Pandora's people. Then transmits the scenes of the current state of their worlds into their dreams, though this is merely the first step. As people look more into these visions, they start wondering if they're real. And the more they worry, the more they start to become apparent during the day.

Each person's world is different, and so each walking daydream or vision is different. What their world would be like after their disappearance, how their people are coping and weather their world is even still around anymore. These waking dreams will start becoming more real the more that people fuss over what they see, though they can't go back to they world to fix things. The nightmare will remain, till the creature that started them gets bored or is destroyed. Maybe parts of their former worlds get phased into Pandora, but truthfully it isn't really their world and although it is a facsimile. It is the true fate of their world, just that the things that are brought over are mere copies of what's in a worlds current state.

    New Season, New Me

((Reposting the suggestion I posted last time bc I still keep thinking about this and its potential, so here goes nothing!))

The Pandoran Gods like fucking with people at random, right? Well, this time, the basic idea is this--at random points throughout the season, with no rhyme or reason to the people affected, certain citizens of the box wake up... different.

As in, from a different canon point.

For instance, a character who was apped from their first season suddenly wakes up in Pandora from their sixth season, with no memory of their previous time in Pandora, and has to deal with trying to make sense of Pandora and their lives there. And, again at random, eventually the citizens revert to their 'original' selves, either whenever the players wish or at the end of the season. It could even happen multiple times per character, with perhaps an OOC imposed limit (like 'you can explore up to 3 canon points during this plot'). The real beauty of this plot is being able to explore different canon points of your characters being in Pandora, without having to lose all of the (years of, in some cases) development you've had like you would with a reapp.

There could be an OOC thread where people can submit the dates of their 'switch' and what canon point their character will be from during that time, and also perhaps any changes in skills (if a human will become a vampire for the switch, then a small skills section in the thread detailing their abilities during this time, a small history blurb to give the updated canon point, etc). That way everyone can keep track and plot accordingly.

Scylla And Charybdis- Straight out of the pages of The Odysseus, a pair of ancient greek, sea monsters have made their presence known in the waters of Cascade Bye blocking off Cascade Bay from the rest of Pandora , Any ships that try to get pass them would either get crushed by Scylla described as a six-headed sea monster or taken under by Charybdis a giant whirlpool They tend to be rather close to each otther so much so that they posed an inescapable threat to passing sailors;; avoiding Charybdis meant passing too close to Scylla and vice versa.

Sirens; Yes it’s an ancient greek creature again, So uncreative :/ Basically the benches of the bay is roped off from the public due to a nest of sirens making their home on a nearby bed of rocks, and naturally using their voices to lurl to a watery grave anyone close enough for their voices to make an impact, thus leading to a team of adventures to try and shoo them away

Circe's Island-For whatever reason people have started to vanish r in the bay for no clear rhyme or reason. Which is surprisingly common for a place like Pandora but it’s certainly no less alarming when several people at the same kind of populated area all at once….But of course, it must not have anything to do with the mysterious new dance club that had opened in the bay….that once entered people seem to have such a good time, they have a hard time wrestling with the idea of leaving, maybe it’s the wonderful food and drink or maybe it’s the that has a funny way of losing your inhibitions and brings out urges to revel in all manner of gratification be it dancing until your knees feel like they’re bleeding or making out with the nearest attractive stranger….No responsibilities no worries, nothing to do but indulge to your heart’s content…..You might just decide to stay forever

    TWINSIES!

The Pandora gods decide to give random people an identical twin (in image only). This twin will be controlled by the player (maybe we make specials subaccounts or something) and will, of course, be mistaken for their look alike. They can be evil, silly, crazy, or have exactly the same personality. It's all up to the players. It's a simple idea with a lot of potential for everyone.

    Invasion

In the vastness of Pandorian Space lives an advanced people, with the encroachment of Stars X and it's members traversing the cosmos. The Cladorians have taken notice, considering the actions of Stars X's people as hostile. Because they've come and entered their territory and taken their resources or set up bases in places they have no right, one would expect a swift and harsh reaction. But the Cladorians are a more methodical people, and instead build up their defenses as well as their army and get ready.

They track back the ships of Stars X, which leads them to the world of Pandora. They set up a small unnoticed out post on a nearby moon/planetoid and take notes on the planet below. Noting the world as some strange combination of species, who seem hard pressed to work together expect in situations that demand it. Whole towns seem to be at war with one another, while others are almost always in a constant state of horror and distress.

With this in mind the Cladorians can't but help to smile, in their own creepy looking way at least by our own perspectives. They ready their armada and start heading towards Pandora, once they arrive they attack what orbital communications they can. Before starting a world wide invasion of Pandora, attacking all the major towns with ships filled with soldiers that are armed with advanced weaponry. Even Misty Hollows fabled shield seems to not help them, when defending against the attackers whom are of scientific origins rather then supernatural with which the shield was made to repel.

These attacks are quite vicious and without remorse, but it's not their only strategy as they set up a device in a secluded location that starts to drill into Pandora's surface. Not caring about the world below and it's treasures or those that might be down there exploring, as it continues to boar down into the planet. Will Pandora stand up together against the alien invasion on their shores, not just to protect their homes within the towns themselves from direct invaders. But band together as a world and fight that which is now trying to destroy the planet they all live on.

    A Prisoner's Island

A role-play-friendly alternative to jail. Pandora's Box is home to many crime-fighting heroes, vigilantes, and other do-gooders-- as well as an array of criminals, evil geniuses, and powerful dark lords. Is being locked in a simple jail cell really a fun and fitting end to such shenanigans? Pandora's criminal punishment system should be just as exciting and spectacular as our player base.

Perhaps an island is discovered off the shore where a certain degree of criminals would be banished to serve their sentence, locked away from society by a magical barrier? Similar to the premise of the Arkham City video games, though I wonder if we'd want to use that as the location or build our own version. This would solve the problem of players shying away from stirring up big plots with their hero and villain characters, for fear of having the action meet a dead end with boring a old jail cell. Instead, their character would be punished by exile, still disciplined but also free to keep role playing on the island, and maybe even eventually released to return to society after certain conditions are met after fulfilling their sentence?

May All Your Wishes Come True

A recently discovered pool in a previously undisclosed location has caught the imagination of the world of Pandora. It's said that if you drop a coin or an offering into the pool for the fairies that they'll grant you a wish! Be it good or bad, selfish or generous, whatever you wish will come true - sometimes literally!

Ask for a ton of money? Maybe nothing seems to happen and then you get home only to find your house and belongings have just been crushed by a literal ton of money. Want x-ray vision? Sure thing, only now you're shooting powerful highly radioactive beams out of your eyes. Wish to be strong? Suddenly you're breaking everything you touch because you're too strong! Have a sick friend and wish them health? Oops you just made them immortal! Maybe you wish an enemy great suffering...and then suddenly your enemy has a really annoying song going around in their heads for weeks!

Sometimes the wishes are exactly what you've always dreamed of but sometimes you better be careful what you wish for...it might just come true!

    Pictures of Dorian Gray

Mysterious and incredibly lifelike painted portraits of all Pandora's residents are surfacing throughout art galleries, thrift shops, and other odds and ends locations dumpsters. These portraits expose that which represents their subject's truest soul (flexible depending on what the RPer wants to accomplish eh), and may also undergo subtle to drastic shifts depending on the thoughts and actions of that subject whether pure or corrupt or anywhere in between.

Intentional damage or destruction of the painting will translate invariably into wounds on the subject's body. Possessing the portrait of someone else may be the same as holding a key to their life.

    Portals Through Time

Strange portals have begun to appear around Pandora, appearing as a glittering storm of transparent crystal shards swirling around a glowing yellowish center. When they first appear, these portals are strongly magnetic and will pull anything magnetic, large or small, into them. As their strength fades, the magnetic field weakens so it's best to pay attention to that if you're bravely exploring the other side.

These portals are typically linked to the distant past, set millions of years ago in times where dinosaurs - and worse - roamed the world. A very rare few are set in the distant future after humanity has died out and a new dominant species has risen. One thing remains constant, the only human era that these portals link to is this one. How or why they exist remains a mystery.

Beware. These portals go both ways, and just as Pandorans can find their way into the distant past, the past can find its way into Pandora, and the past may not always be friendly.

    Borg Invasion

We are the Borg. You will be Assimilated. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is Futile.

Beware. The Borg have come to Pandora. The All-Powerful Borg Queen has arrived in a cube full of loyal Borg Drones waiting to be unleashed upon Pandora. The Borg, a race of sentient machines who were once mortal, now live to serve at their Queen's command. The Borg's purpose is to assimilate or destroy all living things until only they remain. The Borg can assimilate anyone into their Collective. Your friends, your neighbors, your loved ones, all of them can serve the Collective. Question is...who will fight? Who will stand up to these invaders? Of those who do, whom among them will avoid assimilation?

If you have ever wanted your character to face down the most fearsome enemy the Star Trek universe has ever known this is your chance, Or if you want your character to know pain and torture unlike anything they have ever known let them experience assimilation. The assimilation process is reversable.

Characters that could be useful to this Event: Hugh/Three of Five (Free Borg Drone), Jean-Luc Picard/Locutus (Borg Leader), One (Free Borg Drone/"Son" of Seven of Nine), Data (Enterprise Crew Member)

    Left Behind

What if the Pandora Gods or some force actually took people back from Pandora temporarily? The vines come and take you, drop you back into your world, but it isn't really your world, it's still Pandora, you just don't know it. Loved ones could be separated, problems could be solved, rivals could poof, and even your dog isn't safe.

Then, suddenly, after a few days or a week, they return to Pandora after what was either awful because you hated your old home or bliss for being reunited with loved ones from your world.

I figure this could be set up with one new forum where people who have been taken can do one shots with NPC from their fandoms, or actually meet up with played characters from their fandom in their old world.

Moriarty and Irene Adler could find themselves back in London, Batman and Harley Quinn could poof back to Gotham, etc. You get the picture. Then, those who have lost the ones taken can react on the Pandora boards. They are wretched for losing their best friend or gleeful at losing the one person who knew their dark secret. Little do they know that the Pandora Gods will poof them right back to their Pandora homes! Glorious drama!
