A series of massive explosions rocked the forests a few kilometers northwest of Misty Hollow. First responders would later describe the scene as the smouldering ruins of what appeared to be a warehouse facilitating slave trafficking, with empty cages, or slave pens, still identifiable within the ashes. Victims of the operation were found wandering about the perimeter of the warehouse, shaken but unscathed, their identities tied to some but not all of those who had gone missing in the area recently.

The site of the warehouse destruction was littered with the scattered body parts of roughly three dozen (estimated) individuals, cause of death likely their close proximity to the detonations.

A lone survivor of one of these blasts, missing a leg and in critical condition, managed to describe the arsonists as "a lunatic wearing a skull on his shirt, and a lunatic who was a skull. On fire. With a [censored] motorcycle!!!" before losing consciousness.

It's currently unknown if the warehouse is a solitary operation or one in a network of several. The Skull Duo's whereabouts are also unknown.

Somewhere in Misty Hollow, the resident owner of Blaze Mechanics opened the Pandora Times while taking a drink of coffee. Doing a first in his life: spit taking all over the damn newspaper.

After he was done coughing and sputtering, two words came out of his mouth with a scowl. The person actually responsible for putting damn bombs all over that damn place on his tongue: "God damnit, Frank!...."

Violence, and it's application, was the most ethically sticky part of what Lonnie did. That was why he was somewhat torn by the news of the slave mill's demise, and for a long time he simply sat at his computer and turned the thing over in his mind a few times.

No. Even if the force used seemed excessive, the fact was that slavery was an evil to which no response was too brutal. Lonnie felt... discomfort at the implications, but there could be no shying away from them; the slavers had got what they deserved, and richly so.

Perhaps, though, it would be a good idea to keep an eye out for these skull-themed individuals on the rumour mills; after all, Lonnie thought to himself, even people who appeared as liberators at first might prove to be something more sinister later on. Clicking off the story, he filed his intent away and returned to other work - for now.

Maes had read the story in the paper, glad for the fact that those who'd been taken. Had not been taken in the blast though from what he could surmise, that was likely the intention of this skull duo that the survivor spoke of. Some kind of vigilante pair looking to free slaves and punishing those responsible, he'd seen too much blood in his life to want to wish it on further people.

Even those he too condemned quite highly, slavery wasn't something Maes stood by either. Seeing it in the war and after it, but he would've preferred those slavers had been punished in a more long lasting way. So that their victims could see, that life wasn't so unfair. The shock of the night might be so much for those involved they may never get over the tragedy, not because of the loss of the slavers but the trauma itself.

Ward looked at the newspaper and a smirk crossed his face. Loud and proud, huh? Either these guys were very sloppy or they wanted to create a spectacle.

Yondu wasn't about t' ask too many questions 'bout this li'l operation, 'cause it all seemed pretty obvious what was goin' on after somebody dared t' read the article out loud.
    However...

...Once he'd heard it all, what should he suddenly decide t' do next but sniffle just a leetle bit, along with clappin' the speaker on the shoulder and then cheerin' out loud for the whole room t' hear?

Clearly, there was somethin' goin' on with him, even if the good folks surroundin' him at the time couldn't quite guess what it was.
