    Technology

What follows is an overview of the technology found in Pandora. Due to the nature of the game, technology can be pulled in from all different kinds of worlds with their own unique spins on technology. Characters also have different skills that may allow them to create something unique in Pandora. Any personal inventions or specialized tech are usually the exception to the rule.

    Types of Technology

    Clean Energy

Clean energy is, in essence, energy harnessed and utilized without relying on either electricity or magic. Horizon, in particular, utilizes an expanding network of solar energy. While this energy grid is considerably modest compared to the likes of other towns, it supplies enough power to keep all the essential tasks functioning, and sees a gradual and constant improvement over time.

    Electricity

Electricity is used in both Misty Hollow and Cascade Bay, and does not differ in-game from its uses and applications in real-world situations.

    Electro-Magic Network

As the name suggests, the Electro-Magic Network is magically-sourced electricity, which is used in Pandora Town. Electrical devices that plug into an outlet require no adaptation, and work as they normally would when plugged into an electrical outlet.

Electro-magic also served as basis for Magitech, Magicores and Regenerating Crystals, which you can read more about here.

    Common Technology in the Towns

    Pandora Town

Pandora Town hosts the electro-magic network, has plenty of magitech, as well as excellent cell phone reception and StarkNet. Technology of all kinds can be found here, what with the huge mix of people from all different worlds and cultures. Computers, laptops, and StarkPads are all available in various sizes and shapes.

    Misty Hollow

Misty Hollow has modern-day technology, complete with a power plant that provides the town with electricity. Like Pandora Town, it has good cell phone reception and StarkNet, and citizens can purchase computers, laptops and cell phones from Pandora Town and use them in Misty Hollow with no issues.

    Cascade Bay

Cascade Bay has access to electricity and StarkNet too. In addition, it also has its own SiFi tower to offer wireless StarkNet access to its citizens. Citizens can purchase computers, laptops and cell phones from Pandora Town and use them in Cascade Bay with no issues.

    Horizon

As of December, Year 4, Horizon utilizes clean energy, powered from its solar panels. It also has a working radio station and radios with which to listen to its broadcasts. A small plane service is also in operation, run by one of the townsfolk.

    Morhall

Morhall has several generators (both electro-magic and electricity-based) to provide the city with power, though a lot of it seems to be thrown rather haphazardly together. While they do have radio and cell reception, the signal is pretty spotty at times, and the quality is generally rather fuzzy.
