    February 17th, Year 108
    @Claire Nunez

Lockdown. Lockdown. Lockdown. Schola Praeditos was on lockdown.

There's been a murder on campus, and none of them were allowed to leave. If they had to go anywhere, it had to be with a partner who hopefully wasn't the person who committed the crime, but no one even recognized the face despite it happening in broad daylight.

Not that Trucy thought Claire was the murderer, of course not. In fact, she even took her hand for a better sense of safety as the two decided to head toward Claire's dormitory for the night. Between the two, she was the only one who actually lived in the school while Trucy traveled there from Pandopolis City. Better safe there than not if there was a killer on the loose.

This whole situation just felt... bizarre to her. Sure, Trucy had to deal with plenty of murders thanks to her history in the courts as both defense (assistant), witness, and defendant in cases involving death, but there was something different about this one. Like, for instance, while she had been right beside dead bodies before, this was the first time she has ever seen the moment someone died.

In a small way, she was almost relieved to have been shaken by seeing the events. At least it meant she wasn't desensitized to dead bodies. Not that it was a concern she thought she was developing, to begin with, considering how she's always reacted, but to think someone would actually be killed in, presumably, cold blood on campus? She was almost relieved to have Apollo call her so they could talk, even if she had to calm him down more than the other way around.

Finally, she and Claire arrived at her dormitory. "...After everything that's happened, I can't believe it's already this late," Trucy murmured in amazement, glancing at her phone to see exactly how late it was. 4:57 PM. It wasn't actually that late, but being locked inside of the school and the fact the investigation was underway, what else were they supposed to do for the rest of the day?

Something more interesting though that Trucy noticed was a notification on her phone. It was about Nerve: 'You have a new dare waiting to be accepted."

Could that app have anything to do with this? Clenching her teeth, she shoved her phone back into her pocket without swiping the notification to read it. At least, she wasn't about to read it at that very second. Maybe when she sat down. Did she dare to even see if it was responsible for the murder, though? Because if it was, she might... see it again.

Shaking her head of the thought, Trucy looked to Claire, doing her best to offer her a smile, even if it was weaker than usual.

    Tommy was dead.

    Tommy was dead.

Tommy, who she had been in class with, had accidentally cockblocked once, who she had texted, who had guilted her over the thing with the dragon, made an excellent point, and had sounded very much unlike himself, was dead.

    Was murdered.

In the Schola, in a place that was supposed to be safe for him, in broad daylight. Claire knew more about death than she generally wanted to think about. But she also was still young, and she wasn't stupid enough to think that she was close to Tommy, before everything happened, but she had known him, and he was so alive. Brimming with energy and cheeTo think that he wasn't around anymore hurt a little.

Vivi was gone, Rachel was gone, and Tommy was dead. Claire had never expected to be the last of the old class standing. It hurt, in a way that she couldn't put her finger on. But, at least, she had Trucy. The Schola was on lockdown, and Trucy was staying the night. Since Nancy was also gone, she didn't have a roommate. And, it was weird, because Claire had never been scared of the dark, but she didn't want to sleep alone tonight.

"Me neither," Claire said softly, sadly. Part of her was angry, at whoever murdered an innocent, who had the audacity to do it in the Schola, which was supposed to be safe. Another part was scared, because this was the Schola. It was supposed to be safe, and, up until now, it had been. And the last part of her was sad, because Tommy didn't deserve to die, especially not murdered in the middle of a crowd, a random target. And because she known him, because she had liked him. Because he was innocent, no matter how much of a wanted fugitive he was. "Time flies when you're miserable, I suppose."

It didn't take much for Trucy to realize what was going on in Claire's mind, even with her focus being terrible during their situation. It's not as if she blamed her for all of the distraught, either. Trucy never actually... interacted with the boy before, but they had passed each other in the hallways on occasion. She had seen him in her life. His expression. The look on his face while he was alive. And she never had a reason to really think about his face. Now she felt she could never forget it.

The most Trucy could say was, at least the two of them had each other for the night. She wasn't sure how well, or poorly, Claire would handle this by herself, but Trucy would certainly struggle to sleep as the face kept appearing in her mind. She would try to forget, but then come to struggle with whether or not she should forget it... A poor, vicious cycle till the break of dawn.

If there was anything she could be thankful for, it was that most likely wouldn't happen. At least, not by herself. "I guess so," Trucy strained a laugh. There was a small part of it that was humorous, but... the turmoil in her voice, the depression of the atmosphere, and the sadness lurking inside of Trucy: all of it did poorly when it came to keeping her general positive vibe. All she could do was squeeze the other girl's hand as the door to her dormitory was opened.

Stepping into her room, Trucy glanced around at the room. It's not as if she had never been there before, but it wasn't exactly the most common occurrence. Generally, she and Claire hung out outside of their houses. In fact, Trucy hadn't even introduced Claire to her family yet. In comparison to the last few times Trucy had entered the room, though, there wasn't the same sense of cheer and excitement in being able to check it out. Sure, it did offer her some comfort, but... Everything still lingered on her mind.

Letting go of Claire's hand, Trucy let out a soft sigh as she sat herself down at the edge of the bed, slumping her posture. "I still can't believe this happened..." She murmured, the moment trying to repeat itself in her mind as Trucy tried not to think of that very second.

"...Even got a stupid dare during all of this," Trucy thought aloud, not thinking much about the implications of what she admitted, "I don't even know if I want to take a look at it." Looking up toward Claire with a small shrug, she gaged her face, trying to see if she could find any other signs about how she was feeling. It probably hadn't changed much since seconds ago, though.
