Yes. They are a lot, Ren. They are the worst part of living free of ShinRa, though I shouldn't complain. But why is milk so expensive???

high calorie foods are probably a life saver

eating slightly less dirt is admirable

he's a tough one

a friend tried to take him on once

and he got bat aside like a fly, and that was the end

In my world, we had foods specifically engineered to provide additional nutrition and calories. In Pandora, I make due with what I can get.

Your friend died?

i have a decent amount of contacts in the food industry - i can ask around

I have died. It is unpleasant business.

yeah, it's not exactly fun

i joke to hide the trauma

i think i've legally died...twice?

once was in the eyes of the public, other i technically stopped existing

glad death didn't exactly work on you either

Death worked on me.

It was during the Calamity. Perhaps you know of it. Time was simply rewritten after my death.

I am not immune to dying.

three for me, then

not many people left in pandora actually remember that, since it was awhile back

how long have you been in pandora?

That's complicated

I was in Pandora for... I think a year and a half. That was when the Calamity occurred. Then I left.

Another... version of myself took my place. I don't know for how long.

Anyway, now I am back and repairing the damage done.

From what I understand of my Other Self, their crimes were... extensive, and included attempted genocide.

Not for lack of trying... and I do not know how the story ended. Perhaps it was successful, Ren.

sometimes we're faced with what "could have been" for better or worse

i find it easier to focus on other things

like coffee

i think i'll make you try a medium roast this time...or maybe even light

still will cut it with milk since you seem to like that, but may have a black version with me just to compare

i might be working on something right now to test

i have another friend who doesn't like coffee, who i'm going to use as a guinea pig

i do think i can find a type of coffee you genuinely will like
