Does anyone else wince whenever they realize that they're tearing their faces off??

Yep! Persona 4 it's very peaceful, they just have to fight their shadows and then they can call them whenever. XD

I got the impression that the face tearing was only on awakening, at least. XD The mask appears to be removable normally after that.

I thought it was every time myself, but it would be less squicky that way. Maybe it's that the first step to change is always the hardest?

Yeah, I sort of thought of it as the face ripping scene where their eyes go yellow and they look like they're in pain was an internal version of the "face yourself" battles in Persona 4. It's just a very fast one because the party members actually want the power instead of denying their Shadows.

Yeah I agree with you there. It's a one time right of passage.

And oh lord the gun to the head. That's pretty heavy >.<

Persona 3 was a very "death" and "moving on" based game. I think the guns, which didn't actually shoot bullets, were meant to signify their resolve to face their potential death. This triggers their Personas, so they have to literally pull the trigger every time to reaffirm that.

Yeah, I think P5's thing was 'rebellion and freedom', throwing off shackles. Thus the cool promo pic of the chairs and chains.

Overall, great game though. I think it taught me as much about time management as college did tbh XD

LOL the time management is the most stressful part for me. 'BUT I NEED MORE TIME NOOOO'

Also Morgana is a monster, you can obviously do more than one thing every evening.

LOL fair enough. I think he works best with Makoto out of the girls, so I tend to go that way myself.

Makoto was an underrated character. She was more complicated than people took her to be.

Persona 5, awesome game, but I heard the anime was sort of lacking for some reason?
